After a delicious meal at the Pinoy restaurant and wandering the beautiful city streets. The glow of the city began to emerge. Vienna’s soft evening radiance takes us a simple stroll.
The streets felt different than they did during the day. And the air at night was even cooler. But still with the energy of the evening crowd makes the streets even more alive.

We continued our walk and the deeper we wandered revealed a certain magic to Vienna at night. We felt like we had stepped into a living postcard. From the architecture that captivated us.

With its timeless beauty under the night sky, the cathedral rose tall and majestic. Even with so many people around and I wanted to capture the cathedral’s powerful charm. The glow emphasized the delicate columns and grand arches. And turning the cathedral into a brilliant masterpiece and added the lights as its detailed facade. St. Stephen’s Cathedral (or Stephansdom) is the heart of Vienna because of the pointed details of its Gothic architecture.

Even with so many people around, people taking photos. Just standing and looking up at the cathedral's enduring and powerful charm. Around the cathedral with nearby stalls that that kept the atmosphere vibrant and alive.

We stepped inside the Church of St. Peter (or Peterskirche) is another jewel of Vienna. Rich Baroque design and smaller than St. Stephen's Cathedral.

It caught my attention the striking dome, with a large, oval shape and looks stunning. The interior design is a masterpiece, from a high altar and with a mix of marble and glaring gold elements.

We had our few minutes to step into the church. Because we wanted to respect other people who are praying. The noise from outside disappeared and was replaced by soft echoes, footsteps and silence.
Before going outside, we pray for gratitude.

The turquoise dome stood out beautifully against the dark sky from afar.

It was evening and about time to eat. There are different Christmas Market in Vienna and we went nearby the church. Small stalls with decorations and glowed with lights.

The stalls offered a variety of food, warm drinks, alcohol, charming souvenirs and more. And the scent of sizzling sausages and roasted meat filled the air. And also cheese that's my husband favorite. We enjoyed our food and eating in the open cold air. It was so cold just to kept standing and we need to make it fast.

From there, we wandered from one stall to another and kids brought small gifts.
Kirche am Hof (Church am Hof) during a Christmas Market.

Vienna City Hall or Rathaus in German it glowed magnificently at night and its Neo-Gothic spires rose into the night. It felt straight out of a storybook. Standing proudly at Rathausplatz, this majestic structure is one of Vienna’s most iconic landmarks.

And near the Hall, the most famous Christmas Market in Vienna at the Wiener Christmas market. Not only in Vienna is it famous and even one of Europe's largest Christmas markets.

Rathaus Park transformed into a winter wonderland. And added the beauty of it with lights, decorated trees and pathways.

The ice rink was alive, families, friends, and children shared beautiful moments. A Ferris wheel glowed brightly in the distance and Aya felt a sudden urge to ride it. Unfortunately with a bunch of kids and parents lined up, we told her not this time. And it was ok to her and understand the situation.

After exploring the city, tired feet but happy hearts, and we slowly made our way to the parking area. We hope on our next trip to uncover the stories and beauty waiting beyond Vienna’s iconic facades.
