Hello @worldmappin community! 😊
Another Malta adventure as we continued exploring our journey through this beautiful island.
After we visited the Upper Barrakka Garden, next on our itinerary was roaming around the city center.

City Center in Malta means Valletta and it gives different kinds of magic. We walked around the city center and witness those stunning architecture with honey colored limestone, beautiful windows, colorful balconies with full of flowers, cozy, old and alive streets.
Sometimes, roaming around doesn't need a strict plan, just our feet were we leads us. And by simple walking around, we could discover along the way and enjoy the place at our own pace.

With the bright blue sky with soft clouds and the warm sun made it a perfect day for walking. I really loved the color of the city, buildings had colorful doors and windows that added a little touch to the streets.
Even though it was not a picked season when we visited Malta, I noticed how lively it was and also tourists everywhere.

We should not miss buying souvenirs and we enjoyed it a lot. Souvenir shops everywhere along the streets with different magnet designs, Maltese souvenirs, bags, decorations and more that would make nice memories from our trip.
I was actually surprised that some of the things are quiet cheap, even my kids bought books in Valletta

Restaurants and cafe's was another thing that made us smile. The city of Valletta has so many stairs, and some of the restaurant and cafe's make use of the space by placing the foldable table and chairs along the steps.
Valletta has many restaurants to offer with reasonable prices. Of course, prices depend on the restaurant and the food you order.
When we had our dinner, I found it scary because one wrong move for sure an accident will happen. So we need to be careful.

I took photos of some owners who put up signage to attract customers and make people put smiles on their faces as they walk by.

Then there's a beautiful open square shaded by big green trees. Near the open square there was an ice cream shop. Then we decided that we needed a little break and enjoyed our ice cream.

The monument of former Maltese Prime Minister Enrico Mizzi located in St. John's Square-historic center of Valletta, Malta.

We kept walking and reached St. George's Square. In the square where the Main Guard Building stands.
📍De Rohan Fountain in St. George's Square.

The Sette Giugno Monument in Valletta, Malta, commemorates the historic 1919 riots and uprising against high food prices and British colonial rule.

📍Auberge de Castille is one of the most beautiful buildings in Valletta and now the
Office of the Prime Minister of Malta.
📍Parliament House in Valletta, Malta
📍Malta Stock Exchange building.
📍Tritons' Fountain was such a beautiful and iconic landmark. The fountain was surrounded by the historic walls and buildings.
When we were roaming around Valletta, the architecture was really beautiful. Limestone facedes, historic streets and more make the city feel like an open air museum.

It was tiring but makes us all happy. The best way to discover is by slowing down and wandering
places like we did in Valletta.
Thats the end of my blog and hope you like our trip. Can't wait to share our next adventure.
