English Version
Goldsmithing is the art of creating beauty from the roughest elements. It is transforming a piece of metal into something beautiful and of great value. It is transforming the primary into something unique and eternal. That is why this visit to the Museum of Goldsmithing in Old Havana has been one of the ones I have enjoyed the most.
The museum in Havana. Inside, pieces of silver and other precious metals are exhibited, reflecting Cuban artisanal tradition since the colonial era. The place occupies an old colonial building that was restored and that belonged to a consecrated goldsmith. The building itself is also part of the culture and architectural heritage, as it preserves the characteristics typical of colonial designs, such as arches and ornamental details. This ensemble generates an atmosphere that, when integrated with the exhibition, transforms into a classic and harmonious environment.

Inside the museum, elegance is perceived, with large glass showcases that safeguard delicate pieces of goldsmithing and shining silver objects. Everything is designed to highlight even more the beauty of each work. The furniture and the paintings on the walls also contribute to enhancing the beauty of the place, making each corner feel like part of a complete aesthetic experience.

In this museum, above all, we can admire the work of the artisans. In the objects exhibited there, one can appreciate the mastery of different techniques that reveal the skill and sensitivity of those who have dedicated their lives to this art. Here each piece is a reminder that human creativity can turn the simplest into something grand and eternal. This is a small treasure in the heart of Old Havana.

Cheers, and until next time!

Saludos!
