RE: Música convertida en piedra. - Music Turned into Stone. [Esp-Eng]

I love that you shared so many photos of this place's façade, because it is simply perfect and caught my eye right from the very first image; in fact, what really grabbed my attention was the title you gave this post—looking at the architecture, the most sublime sacred choral music starts playing in my mind. What a beautiful country this is, especially its capital; I would love to visit it someday. Thanks for sharing, and have a wonderful start to the week!...

For years, I have been an avid reader and have had the privilege of enjoying the works of many of my country's great intellectuals, including those who, in one way or another, wrote about Havana and its wonders, about the beautiful treasures it holds. One of them was Alejo Carpentier (recipient of the Cervantes Prize). That phrase belongs to him and refers to the Cathedral of Havana, a magnificent example of Baroque architecture in Cuba. Nothing could be more fitting than to pay tribute to him through my own words while honoring such a beautiful structure, one that forms part of both our national heritage and the heritage of humanity. It is a place of immense spirituality.
