The Puntilla Beach / La playa La Puntilla [ Eng/Esp]
Last Thursday, 18 December, we met at La Puntilla beach: @nanixxx, @muhammadhalim, @jeniferzr and yours truly.
The intention was always to photograph and explore two places in Santa Fe, but in the end we focused only on the beach and time flew by.
Here they are.
Santa Fe began as a fishing village. Geographically, it is the westernmost territory of the capital city of Havana and the municipality of Playa. Its traditional houses are made of wood. The beach area is called Puntilla because of the celebrations that used to take place there. There was a path along the shore and a wall that my great-grandfather said the sea would break through, and that's what happened years later, because everything that is taken from the sea, it will seek back with greater intensity.
The sea has moved so much that it has reached where there used to be houses. And it won't be long before it joins the lagoon.
Here are some photos of the sea, which was beautiful, crystal clear, and calm:
There were different buildings, including the famous Casino, which is now in ruins.
The Castillito (the photo was taken from one of its windows; it is a very interesting stone building).
Here is the small section of road that leads to the collapsed bridge.
And the stones that provide an alternative route to the casino due to the deterioration of the bridge. However, this route is only passable at low tide.
From there, you can see the canals of Marina Hemingway and boats and sailboats sailing on the sea, but that day it was deserted.
We sat behind the casino and saw some jellyfish that were quite close by and looked at the other side of 5th Avenue.

We photograph the same thing, but it's each person's perspective, as Nani told us, and it's true.
Despite the changes in that area, the sand is finer than before, as it was always known for having many stones.
Having that place is a blessing, because looking at the horizon, sitting on the sand, feeling the air on your face and smelling the sea is relaxing and makes you think of nothing.

El pasado jueves 18 de diciembre nos reunimos en la playita de la Puntilla @nanixxx, @muhammadhalim, @jeniferzr y quien les escribe.

La intención siempre fue fotografiar e incursionar 2 lugares de Santa Fe, pero al final nos centramos solo en la playita y el tiempo paso súper rápido.
Aquí se las presentó.
Santa Fe surgió como un poblado de pescadores. Geográficamente es el último territorio de la capital habanera del oeste y del municipio Playa. Sus casas tradicionales son de madera. La zona de la playita se llama Puntilla por unas celebraciones que hacían allí. Tenía un camino por toda la orilla y un muro el cual mi bisabuelo decía que el mar lo iba a pasar y así fue, años después sucedió porque todo lo que se le quita al mar, este lo va a buscar con mayor intensidad.
El mar se ha movido tanto que pasó donde hubo casas. Y ya no falta tanto para que se una a la laguna.
Aquí les muestro algunas de las vista del mar el cual estaba hermoso, cristalino, sin oleaje:

Habían diferentes construcciones en las que se encuentra el famoso Casino, que hoy lo que quedan son ruinas,

el Castillito (la fotografía es desde una de sus ventanas, la cual es una construcción de piedra muy interesante).

Aquí les muestro el pedacito de calle que queda llegando al puentecito derrumbado,

Y las piedras por las que se llegan al casino como alternativa debido al deterioro del puente. Eso si. Por aquí solo se pasa con la marea baja

Desde allí se pueden ver los canales de la Marina Hemigway y botes y velas navegar por el mar pero ese día estaba solitario.
Nos sentamos detras del casino y vimos unas medusas que estaban bastantes cerca y observamos el otro lado de 5ta avenida

Fotografiamos lo mismo, pero son las perspectivas de cada cual, así nos dijo Nani y es verdad.
A pesar del cambio que hay en esa zona su arena es más fina que antes pues siempre se caracterizó por tener muchas piedras.
El tener ese lugar es una bendición ya que mirar el horizonte, sentarse en la arena, sentir el aire en la cara y olfatear el olor a mar es relajante y hace pensar a la nada.
