My first visit to Michael's Gardens - A very beautiful area in Port Harcourt City, Rivers State

Greetings my fellow travelers,
Hope you had a wonderful weekend together with you and your families. It's beautiful weather today in my area and soon we'll be in the month of August. This will bring about consistent good weather that will enable me to continue travelling to different beautiful places to be able to share amazing places in our yet under-explored part of the world.

Today I am happy to share with you a brief tour within the region of Rivers State, Nigeria designated as Pleasure Park. It is a widely known area and I've always liked to visit from the first day I passed by its roadside while going to a neighbouring state. The beauty of the park from the road view is like paradise and even when I started asking my friends from the state it's located to know more about their experience, their responses even fuelled the desire in my heart to want to visit the Pleasure Park by all means.

The official name of the park is Michael's Gardens. I wouldn't have known this if I hadn't taken the bold step to visit the place because almost every traveller and some locals I asked know the place as Pleasure Park. But how I got to know the official name of the place was when I wanted to pay for the foods and drinks I bought within the park.
The park is such a big place in such a way that you cannot behold all the area in one glance. Visitors have to make use of the different walkways that lead to different destinations within the park while exploring.

I actually went there to relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery with a new friend of mine and I can tell that she really loved the place so much because she agreed to visit the place again with me. Not only that, but her expression and words showed that she felt like spending the night within the park even though it was not part of our initial agreement.

There's a lot of beautiful things to love about the area. One thing is its serenity. Though it's close to the roadside, the area is cool and peaceful.

In terms of security, there is an army barrack after the long outstretched part of the Pleasure Park by the far left and an air force base by the far outstretched right.
The Pleasure Park can be visibly seen from the road as it has beautifully designed iron weldings that serve as its outstretched walls. From the road, they are another beautiful sight for road users.

The environment is well maintained and organised, within it you can see presence a big lake with presence of manually pedalled plastic boats for couples or two people. There are beautifully well interlocking patterns on the ground for mapping out walkways. There are presence of different ornamental trees and flowers. Along the sides of the walkway small palm trees can be seen on both sides. There are also presence of green carpet grass that covers the entire area.

On a little hill on the inside, there is this "WELCOMETOP.P.K" masterly caved ouf from the carpet grass and surrounded with a colour concrete.
On the hill are trees and a separately gauze fenced area being used by gulf players.

There are fancy shades on different locations within the park used as restaurants. There are a many play grounds within for both adults and children, the environment is so peaceful that everyone's faces I saw within the garden glow in happiness especially the children. I saw small electric cars to convey both adults and children, there are trains, horses, skaters and lots more.

Within the restraints, I was able to buy grilled meat well prepared, I saw ice creams, different types of inter continental dishes and most of the food are very costly but looking so yummy from their glass coverings.

Truly it's a big delight for me to visit the Micheal's garden's also widly known as pleasure park. It's really a place worth visiting with loved ones and I'll really love to visit it again even as I journey to other places outside and within State.

Thanks for stopping by to behold this beautiful place on Worldmappin.
