Hello everyone. Hope everyone is doing fine.
Living in a hostel, you quickly learn to find happiness in the small escapes from your daily routine. Life can start to feel repetitive, with the same schedule, the same surroundings, and the same faces every day. So,last Sunday, we decided to do something so we just took a bus and head out to explore.
With no detailed plan in mind, we just wanted to go somewhere that felt alive, somewhere that showed the real, everyday side of the city. That’s how we ended up choosing the Sunday Bazaar in Islamabad H-9.

What makes it even more special, especially for students like us, is how practical and useful it is. From affordable clothes and shoes to everyday essentials, accessories, and even fresh groceries, the bazaar offers everything in one place. It’s the kind of market where you can manage your needs on a budget without compromising on variety.
We woke up early in morning coz it is a day market. It closes at 6pm i guess. We took our local bus.

As you enter the market, you will notice i is huge market. It has three gates and it is packed with people. We entered from gate 1 and saw long rows of farmers selling their vegetables and fruits.I saw nappa cabbage there which is not easily available in local markets

After exploring the vegetable section, we made our way to the clothing area and it was honestly surprising. The place was filled with racks of thrifted sweaters and coats, all available at incredibly affordable prices. It felt like a hidden treasure for students looking to stay stylish on a budget.

The market was crowded with both students and locals, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere. What stood out the most was the variety. you could find items inspired by top brands like Adidas, Dior, and Gucci, all available in thrifted options.
We bought some sweaters for coming winters cause they are on sale now.The market was huge.we spent alot of time in clothing section and we were so hungry at that time so we went to the food court and enjoyed some food

By the time we were done exploring, we were completely exhausted, so we decided to sit in the food court and just relax for a while, chatting and gossiping. But what surprised us was that the crowd hadn’t thinned out at all. It was still just as busy and lively, as if no one was ready to leave.

Then we headed toward the shoe section, but by that time we were already running late. We didn’t have enough time to properly explore, so we quickly picked up a pair of slippers for the hostel. Even in that short time, it was clear how huge the section was. I spotted options from brands like Converse, Adidas, Skechers, and many more.
It made us realize that if you really want to explore the entire market, you need a lot of time. It’s not a place you can fully experience in just one visit.

What truly makes this market stand out is its incredible variety. From home décor and kitchen utensils to toys and everyday essentials, you can find almost everything in one place. It feels like a complete package , a single market where all your needs, whether practical or decorative, are easily met.

As the day came to an end, we made our way back, tired but genuinely satisfied. The H-9 Sunday Bazaar is not just a place to shop , it’s a space where students can find affordable essentials, explore endless options, and experience the lively spirit of the city all at once. It’s budget-friendly, diverse, and full of surprises at every corner.
If you’re a student living away from home or simply someone looking for a unique local experience, this market is definitely worth visiting.
Anyways that's all from my side.See you soon
