Baliwood Sunset Beach: A Tranquil Getaway in Glan, Sarangani Offering Peaceful Shores and Relaxing Coastal Experiences

If you’re looking for a relaxing beach destination in Southern Mindanao, Baliwood Sunset beach in Glan, Sarangani is definitely worth visiting. We traveled from Tacurong City and the journey itself was already part of the experience, scenic roads, fresh air, and the excitement of reaching the sea.

From Tacurong City, you can travel by private vehicle or public transportation. The trip usually takes around 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. You will pass through general Santos City, then head toward Glan, Sarangani. The roads are mostly concrete and accessible, making the drive smooth and comfortable. Clear signages also make the place easy to find.

When we arrived at Baliwood Sunset Beach, the first thing we noticed was the wide and spacious parking are. This is a big plus, especially for families and groups, because you don’t have to worry about where to park. The area feels safe and secure, with staff present to assist guests, giving visitors peace of mind throughout their stay.

The beach has a clam and welcoming atmosphere. It’s not overly commercialized which makes it perfect for the people who want to relax, unwind and enjoy nature without too much noise.

Baliwood Sunset Beach offers clean and well-maintained cottages, ideal for day trips and group gatherings. The cottages are spacious enough to accommodate families and friends and they are strategically placed so you can enjoy the sea breeze whole resting.

They also have rooms for those who want to stay overnight. The rooms are simple but comfortable, perfect for travelers who want a peaceful place to sleep after a long day at the beach. The cleanliness of the rooms adds to the overall comfort of the stay.

During our visit, we spent time swimming, relaxing at the cottage, and simple enjoying the sound of the waves. It felt refreshing to disconnect from the busy city life and just be present in the moment.

The staff were friendly, approachable and helpful, they assisted us when we arrived, guided us to our cottage, and made sure everything was in order. Their warm hospitality made the experience even better.
