A Glimpse In Manticao River; A Fresh And Relaxing Nature Side of Manticao

For many years has already past, the channels of water here continues to changed its path specially when big and great floods occured. Many deep and shallow water areas can be seen and aside of that, a big cracks of soil continous to collapsed.

Manticao river is the longest and biggest bodies of water found here in the Municipality of Manticao in the Province of Misamis Oriental. It passes few Barangays and Zones starting from the upper side of the town going down to the sea. Tall cliffs can be seen and found here and only few road trails are put because that served as a shortcut to residents who lives far from this river. Because it is summer, most of the rocks here are covered with moss, small water lilies also grows and a crystal fresh water at the river can be seen. Tweeting of birds can also heard quite distant from the river and the swaying of trees brought by winds. Thats the reason why this place is very perfect spots for summer getaways.

This big piece chuncks of rocks also added to the beautiful and nice view of the river. It washed away during the big flood and landed it here. This big kinds of silica rocks travels a lot from the mountain rolled down and washed away due to big floods. The Nature activities is quite amazing, the line marks at the surface from this rocks indicates the impact of the water current during the floods. But those things are also important to all fresh water animals like fish as their Natural habitat. Fresh water snails and crabs also hid under this big rocks and sometimes people places their washed clothes at the top of this rocks.

For me, this place is just like an Amazon river because of the steady water and few shallows surrounded with lots of trees grows near at the cliff. This driftwood has been washed away from the during the big flood. Reaching at the water does not need to ride on the boat same as we seen at the other rivers, we can walked at the sandy water very slowly enjoying the coolness and freshness of the water. Fishing is also best spot here because fresh water fish loves to swim here because the water is steady.

This fresh and cool water is very tempting for those who really loves to visit here. It flows all the way from the mountains, it contains a slightly strong water currents creating a splash and sounds at the river. Even if we crossed here at the water current, it is very hard and needs to walk slowly so we cannot go with flow of the water current and wont slip to avoid getting wet.

Because of the big floods always happens here, different kinds of rocks the shapes, colors, and forms deposited here near at the middle of the river. It gives an attractive views and aside of that a drying ground for those people who washed their clothes here. The clothes they washed was placed here so it will quickly dry. This parts of the river here is not contains tons of sands but a big piece of rocks can be seen and found here.

This rock walls is found near at the mountain. On the left side of the place, a mountain can be found and the river is in below. This rock walls was already flooded many times already and the soil was already washed away leaving this rock walls. Because of this, Nature travelers and visitors used this as a diving board and tables for their snacks they brought. Camping and picnic trips are also perfect here at the top of this rock walls. A kind of relaxing and bonding with Nature, that we can truly enjoyed.
