RE: A Week in Vietnam - Vietnam Journal #2

(edited)

Love it! It was awesome reliving my own experience in Vietnam through yours. Like you, I never had Vietnam on my travel list until shortly before I went as an alternate recommendation from a friend over Thailand and I am so glad that was where we ended up going. I was there over the New Year last year from Jan. 26th - Feb. 18th and I still wasnt ready to go. Soo much to see, but too little time, unfortunately.

I also spent time in Hanoi and Sa Pa. The views in Trang An and Cuc Phuong were breathtaking and the cave systems were like nothing Ive ever seen before.

Vietnam easily became one of my favorite travel destinations and I cant wait to go back.

I think you've inspired me to blog about my own adventures there so I can really reflect and reminisce so thanks for that.

Even you was there for 3 weeks but still too little time? Do you like Vietnam that much? Like you, I also went to Sapa and Hanoi, which are the usual destinations. Vietnam has many cities that seem like a shame to miss, which is why I want to go back there.

Yes, I loved it. I've been to quite a few different countries, but Vietnam was one of my favorite. The people, the food, the landscape, and during the time I went even the weather was great all around (except Sapa was a bit cold). But yes, I would love to spend another 3 weeks there to see the South. I spent most of my time in the North riding the Ha Giang loop, visiting Sapa. The furthest South I made it was Ninh Binh. I still need to see Cat Ba and Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh. Sooo much to see 🤩
