Yes, that's right, this wonderful series on Buenos Aires Museums has come to an end for the simple reason that I didn't visit any more museums in the Argentine capital. When I started the series a few months ago, it seemed like it would be a long-running project, and the end seemed a long way off, but the day has finally arrived. For this last post, I want to talk about two things: first, the museums I didn't get to visit, and then a summary of all the places I did visit in this memorable series of posts.

For various reasons, there were places in the Argentine capital that I couldn't access. The first one that comes to mind is the Galileo Galilei Planetarium, which was closed during my first visit to Buenos Aires. On a later trip, I was able to go inside, but I didn't take any photos or videos, so I can't share them with you. Besides that place, there were some museums that I could only see from the outside, and I wasn't always able to find out why they were closed. I remember the Sivori Museum, located within the Palermo Rose Garden, a lovely building I saw a couple of times while crossing the park, but to be honest, I never got close enough to know if it was open or what kind of collections it exhibited inside. One of my biggest disappointments was not being able to visit the Natural History Museum, near Bicentennial Park, which was closed on a day it was supposed to be open. Travelers, residents, and tourists stood at the museum entrance for quite a while without anyone coming out to explain why it was closed, and since it was far from my accommodation, I never went back to that area. The same thing happened with the MARQ, the Museum of Architecture and Design, which I always saw closed without knowing if the closure was temporary or permanent. And finally, I remember not going into the Museum of Modern Art because the entrance fee seemed expensive, so I decided to go to the Museum of Contemporary Art, which was cheaper and located next door.

But despite those absences, I managed to visit at least twenty places related to the preservation, restoration, and dissemination of national and international history and art. Since I know there are many people in this community with these same interests, I wanted to share this list of 22 places for you to consider on your next visit to Buenos Aires. You don't have to visit them all; just look at the list, explore the posts, and choose the ones that most appeal to you. These were the museums I visited in that city:

Which of these museums was your favorite? Let me know in the comments.
