Dried flowers, vintage style mirrors, and soft natural light fill the room, creating an atmosphere that feels like a home tucked away in a misty highland forest.

There’s something about the symmetry of the trees that gently organizes a cluttered mind. Sitting on the wooden steps of the lodge, gazing out at endless shades of green, I realized that we don’t always need packed itineraries to enjoy a trip. From Valencia City, the location is roughly one hour away. Most roads leading to Lantapan are paved and well-maintained, passing through mountain landscapes, vegetable farms, and cool highland air. The final stretch includes narrower roads, so daytime travel is recommended, especially for first time visitors.
