The city Veliko Tarnovo is located in Northern Bulgaria . It is located along the river Yantra. The history of Veliko Tarnovo dates back to the 13th century BC. There is evidence that a Thracian settlement was located on the territory of today's city. During the Middle Ages, Veliko Tarnovo was the capital of the Second Bulgarian State. After the Liberation, a Constituent Assembly was held in the city, which drew up the first Bulgarian constitution. Today, Veliko Tarnovo is a beautiful and lively city that has preserved the atmosphere of one of the greatest cities in Bulgaria . You can enjoy the wonderful Sound and Light show, which includes light effects accompanied by original music. The show recreates the history of the Bulgarian state.
