Dang, you sure know how to pick the places don't you? I think my biggest problem with a trip like this is I wouldn't want to be driving because I would want to be taking photos all the time.

Well, you stop, take photo, and then drive. Drive distances are short between towns. You can drive across the whole country in 3 hrs :)
That's hard to comprehend. My whole state is like that kind of. Texas is even bigger though... Looking at heading down there this fall.
