Hello friends, thanks for joining me on my travels! Today we completed Castle 51, and we're getting closer to our ultimate goal: (to be the first to visit all the castles in Portugal). Maybe I'll make a tourist guide with government support... Who knows... xD. What I do know is that I'll take you on a tour of this beautiful city of Leiria in the heart of the country, where we'll sample its cuisine and take photos at the castle ruins.🌏🏰

Before taking a stroll and visiting the castle, I recommend stopping at the Alentejo restaurant. It's in the city center and has some really good dishes. Honestly, it had been a long time since I'd tasted such tender and delicious beef. Prices for two people with dessert are around 45 euros, which I thought was a good deal, and they have high chairs for babies.🗺️🏰
antes de dar un paseo y visitar el castillo te recomiendo hacer una parada en el restaurante (o alentejano) esta en el centro de la ciudad y tiene unos platos demasiados buenos, sinceramente tenia mucho tiempo que no probaba una carne de vaca tan tierna y buena, los precios para dos personas con postres ronda los 45 euros lo que me parecio economico y tienen sillas para bebes.🧭🌏
I ordered a "Skewered steak with pineapple" and a "Vazia with rice and sweet potatoes," both local dishes. Although you can buy them in other parts of the country, here they have a special touch; they cook them with a branch that infuses the meat with its flavor, which is incredibly juicy! I highly recommend this restaurant.🤑🍖
Pedi una "Espetada de bife con abacaxi" y una "Vazia con arroz y batatas", ambos platos de la zona y apesar que puedes comprarlos en otra zona del pais aqui tienen un toque especial, lo hacen con una rama que deja el sabor en la carne que por cierto es jugosa! les recomiendo de verdad el restaurante.🏆🚩

"Rainha Santa Isabel" Chapel🌍🏰/ Capilla reina Santa Isabel📍
One of the places to visit is the chapel, which is normally open to the public but you can photograph it from the outside. It dates from the beginning of the 17th century and was commissioned by Bishop Martin Alfonso to honor Queen Isabella.🏰🗺️

Castle Ruins🌍🏰/ Ruinas del Castillo📍
There is a strong connection with the term "Paços Reais" which would be the translation: Royal Palaces, and it is associated with King Dinis and Queen Isabel of the 13th century. The castle was built on one of the highest hills of Monte Real and although it was destroyed, it has been restored, allowing you to appreciate that Romanesque military architecture. There is no entrance fee and it is always open to the public.🤴🏻👸🏻
Existe una fuerte ligacion con el termino "Paços Reais" que seria la traduccion: Palacios reales, y esta asociado con el rey Dinis y la Reina Isabel del siglo XIII, el castillo fue construido en una de las colinas mas alta de Monte Real y apesar de estar destruidas tiene una restauracion que permite apreciar esa arquitectura militar romanica, no tiene ningun coste de entrada y siempre esta abierto al publico.🏰🏆🚩
It has a rectangular floor plan and a first floor! The main tower can still be seen. The dates are not exact; some say that there were already remains of a fortification in the 10th century, while others believe that the real castle dates from 1337.🏰👸🏻

The "Baloiço de Monte Real" is another quick and obligatory stop, as there's nothing better than leaving your mark on the beautiful little town by remembering your childhood when you used to go on the swings. Portugal is committed to placing one in every city or town, usually with panoramic views.👸🏻🚩
El "Baloiço de Monte Real" es otra parada rapida y obligatoria ya que nada mejor que dejar tu marca en la linda y pequena ciudad que recordando tu infancia cuando subias a los columpios, Portugal esta apostando en colocar uno en cada ciudad o pueblo, normalmente con vistas panoramicas.🗺️🧭

Saludos @biologistbrito, el palacio tiene un lindo diseño, los muros son altos y hechos de piedra que se remontan a la época enfrentamientos para conquistar nuevos territorios, tiene una muy buena ubicación con increíbles vistas del entorno, los romanos eran expertos en ingeniería y arquitectura para construir estas fortalezas, además buscaban el lugar adecuado para cada una de ellas, me encantó la idea de colocar columpios en los lugares de interés turístico, si veo uno me columpio relajada, en mi infancia era uno de los juegos favoritos cuando visitaba el parque.
