Bandipur & Lwang Ghalel Adventure

Ko Hello, fellow travelers and Hive friends!
I'm excited to share the story of an incredible weekend trip I took with my office friends. It was a journey filled with laughter, stunning landscapes, and a few unexpected adventures. Our destination? The beautiful hill town of Bandipur in Tanahu district and the serene village of Lwang Ghalel in Kaski district.
The Journey Begins: Kawasoti to Jalbire Waterfall
Our adventure started at around 9 AM from Kawasoti, where all my friends gathered. With excitement in the air, we set off on our road trip. Our first stop was the magnificent Jalbire Jharna(water fall) in the Ekchyakamana Rural Municipality of Chitwan district. The massive waterfall was a sight to behold, and we spent some time enjoying its powerful beauty.

Discovering Bandipur: History, Views, and Reunions
After soaking in the waterfall's mist, we headed towards Bandipur. On the way, we stopped for some breakfast and tea. It was here that I captured a photo of a beautiful bird-a perfect start to our nature-filled trip.

Upon reaching Bandipur, we went to the famous Tundikhel, an open space that offers breathtaking views. We took photos of the village below, the winding roads, and the beautiful sky that stretched endlessly. The landscape was simply magical.

Afterward, we explored the streets of Bandipur. The houses were built in a traditional style, and though the street was short, it was incredibly beautiful. It gave me a European street vibe that I had only ever seen in movies!

One of the most heartwarming moments of the trip happened on the way. My friend Gyanu Bhattarai met her school-hood friend after 24 years! They recognized each other instantly, and the bright, happy faces of them together showed the true joy of reconnection.

The Rainy Road to Lwang Ghalel
Our next destination was Lwang Ghalel. Our target was to reach by 7 PM, but due to heavy rainfall, we only arrived after 9 PM. Our plan was to see a folk dance performance by the locals, but unfortunately, due to the Teej festival, it wasn't successful.We had some Local Drinks with sukuti there at night.

Morning Hiking and Mischievous Leeches
The next morning, we went for a hike. The scene was mesmerizing. We saw mountains and tea gardens that were a feast for the eyes. Along the way, I found some beautiful insects and butterflies and took photos of them. We also took a group photo to commemorate our hike.

Now, for a funny story. The trail was filled with leeches! One of my friends, Sushan, cried a lot because she was very afraid. All of us couldn't help but laugh at her childish fear—it was a light moment in our adventure. On the way back, I realized that the leeches had also had a deep taste of my blood!

We also enjoyed local fish, had some beer, and returned back home. On the way, we even found a ganja (marijuana) tree growing wild.

And just like that, we returned home and celebrated two more days of leave, reminiscing about our amazing trip. I hope you enjoyed my blog about our office weekend celebration! It was a journey of nature, history, and friendship that I will cherish forever.
