Relaxing afternoon stroll along the beach, in the company of my son (Eng - Esp)
Hello fellow travelers! I hope you are all in good health and having a wonderful day. March is flying by, and it's been a busy month with various commitments and situations that have required time and dedication. I've had some truly exhausting days, but amidst all the activities, it's always possible to find time to relax, recharge, or take a stroll. And what better place to do that than the beach? As I've mentioned in previous posts, Cumaná boasts beautiful beaches, parks, and plazas, as well as a long promenade along Cacique Maraguey Avenue, which is divided into several sections. This time, accompanied by my son, I took the opportunity to walk along the beach for a while, relax, and enjoy the cool breeze. We arrived around 5:00 PM, and there was a cool, refreshing breeze, perfect for relaxing, walking along the shore, watching the waves, and seeing some birds flying close by.
I've always found it difficult to photograph birds, as they move so quickly. Just when I think I've got the subject in focus, the photo reveals only clouds or trees, with the birds nowhere to be seen. On this outing, I didn't try to photograph them; I simply observed them as they flew and fished. Seabirds generally travel in groups, and in the late afternoon, it's common to see them near the beach, in the trees, or on the rocks. To avoid disturbing them, we decided to walk slowly at a safe distance. In one of the photos I took of the clouds, I managed to capture one of these beautiful birds. The walk was truly relaxing, something I desperately needed. There's nothing like enjoying nature to de-stress, breathe fresh air, and recharge. Compared to other trips we've taken in this area, I particularly enjoyed the cool breeze and the beautiful colors of the sky at sunset.
This visit was very different from those we have made before; the plan was to walk slowly, observe, breathe deeply, see the birds, and observe in as much detail as possible the elements that make up this beautiful space, intended for recreation and family leisure.
Hola amigos viajeros espero que se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud y tengan un excelente día, el mes de marzo avanza rápidamente y han sido días muy ocupados por diferentes compromisos y situaciones que han requerido tiempo y dedicación, realmente he tenido jornadas muy agotadoras pero dentro de las diferentes actividades, siempre es posible sacar tiempo para relajarse, recargar energía o pasear y qué mejor lugar para hacerlo que visitar la playa; como he mencionado en publicaciones anteriores Cumaná cuenta con hermosas playas, parques, plazas, además un largo paseo en la avenida Cacique Maraguey, el cual se divide en varias áreas, en esta ocasión en compañía de mi hijo aproveché para caminar un rato por la playa, relajarme y disfrutar la fresca brisa, llegamos aproximadamente a las 5 de la tarde y había una brisa fría y fresca perfecta para relajarse, caminar por la orilla, ver las olas del mar y algunas aves volando muy cerca de nosotros.
Siempre se me ha complicado tomar foto a las aves, pues se mueven muy rápido y cuando creo que tengo enfocado el objetivo, al ver la foto resulta que solo hay nubes o árboles y las aves brillan por su ausencia, en este paseo no me dediqué a tomarle fotos, sencillamente las observé mientras volaban y pescaban, generalmente las aves marinas andan en grupos y en horas de la tarde es común verlas cerca de la playa, en los árboles o las rocas; para no molestarlas decidimos caminar despacio a una distancia prudencial de ellas y entre una de las fotos que tomé hacia las nubes logré captar a una de estas hermosas aves, el paseo fue realmente muy relajante, lo necesitaba con urgencia, nada como disfrutar el contacto con la naturaleza, para desestresarse, respirar aire puro y renovar energía, en comparación con los otros viajes que hemos realizado en esta zona, me gustó la fresca brisa y el hermoso color en el cielo con el ocaso del sol.
Esta visita fue muy diferente a las que hemos realizado anteriormente, el plan era caminar despacio, observar respirar profundo, ver las aves y observar lo más detallado posible detalladamente posible, los elementos que integran este hermoso espacio, destinado para la recreación y esparcimiento familiar.
We begin at the Gulf Guardians' office, a very attractive building notable for its triangular roof, topped with a boat. Beyond this office is a terracotta-floored walkway where a kind of walking path or pedestrian bridge is under construction. Concrete columns and others framed with wood are visible. Following the walkway is the security office, and next to it, a picturesque area where the boats used by fishermen during their daily work are moored. They are of different sizes, and one of them bears the name of the avenue that runs from the terminal to the monument, called Cacique Maraguey, in homage to the valiant chief who, according to a local resident, participated in several battles to defend his tribe's territory from the incursion of European conquerors.
In this area there are several boats and vessels of different sizes and designs parked, which in the early morning, even before sunrise, with the fishermen on board begin their day until the afternoon. It is common in this coastal strip to observe the various boats going out and returning from fishing; the sight of these boats backlit by the sun's rays is truly beautiful. My favorite part was that reddish tone in the sky that contrasts with the gray and blue of the clouds.
Iniciamos en la oficina de los Guardianes del Golfo, una construcción muy bonita que destaca por sus techos en forma triangular y en la parte superior tiene un bote, luego de esta oficina hay una un pasillo con piso de terracota en el cual se está construyendo una especie de paseo aeróbico o pasarela, se observan las columnas de concreto y otras que están encofradas con madera, a continuación de la pasarela, se encuentra la oficina de seguridad y al lado un área pintoresca, donde reposan los botes utilizados por los pescadores en sus jornadas diarias, hay de diferentes tamaños y uno de ellos lleva el nombre de la avenida que va desde el terminal hasta el monumento llamada Cacique Maraguey, en homenaje al valiente cacique, quien de acuerdo a la información de un residente de la zona, participó en varias batallas para defender el territorio de su tribu de la incursión de los conquistadores europeos.
En esta área hay varios barcos y botes estacionados, de diferentes tamaños y diseños, los cuales los cuales horas de la mañana, muy temprano, incluso antes de salir el sol, con los pescadores a bordo, inician su jornada hasta la tarde, es común en esta franja costera, observar los diversos botes que salen y regresan de la pesca; la vista de estos botes a contraluz con los rayos del sol es realmente, bonita mi parte favorita fue ese tono rojizo en el cielo que contrasta con el gris y azul de las nubes.

El mar siempre será uno de mis lugares favoritos para respirar aire puro, conectar con la naturaleza y relajarme un rato. Desde ese lugar se aprecian atardeceres increíbles.
