Photographs of the sunset on the Orinoco River, Cedeño municipality, Bolívar state (Eng - Esp)
The Orinoco River, the largest and most important river in Venezuela, crosses several states along its course, including Bolívar State, where two bridges have been built. It also forms a natural boundary between the states of Bolívar and Guárico. In Caicara, the capital of the Cedeño municipality (Bolívar State), the Orinoco River is the main body of water and where the main economic activities take place, such as fishing, river transport, and tourism, the latter of which has been growing in recent years.
The river gives its name to this beautiful town in Bolívar state, as its territory is bordered by the river. During the rainy season, which generally runs from May to September, the river rises and its waters cover a large part of the Orinoco viewpoint, a wide boulevard located in front of the town hall. Many people come to this area to take photographs, especially in the afternoon. In the photos I'm sharing, you can see a group of people in front of the town hall, riding motorcycles, sitting on the wall, or simply walking and waiting for sunset to take beautiful pictures. In the first photograph, you can see a curiara, or small boat, which provides transportation between the towns of Caicara and Cabruta. Then we see a group of people and children in front of the river. In the next photo, you can see the town hall and a sunset along the banks of the Orinoco River in the El Guamo sector. Following that is another view of the town hall and the river, where you can see the flood level. On this date, the waters only reached the lower part of the town hall. wall of the mayor's office.
El río Orinoco, el más grande e importante de Venezuela, atraviesa varios estados en su recorrido, entre ellos el estado Bolívar, donde se han construido dos puentes, también constituye un límite natural entre los estados Bolívar y Guárico; en Caicara capital del municipio Cedeño (estado Bolívar) el Río Orinoco es el principal cuerpo de agua y donde se desarrollan las principales actividades económicas como pesca, transporte fluvial y turismo, esta última ha ido creciendo en los últimos años.
El río da nombre a esta hermosa población del estado Bolívar, pues su territorio está bordeado por el río, en el período de lluvias que generalmente va desde mayo hasta septiembre el río crece y sus aguas cubren gran parte del mirador Orinoco, un amplio bulevar ubicado al frente de la alcaldía, muchas personas asisten a estos espacios para tomar fotografías especialmente en horas de la tarde, en las fotos que comparto se observa un grupo de personas al frente de sede de la alcaldía, paseando en motos, sentados en el muro, o sencillamente caminando y esperando el ocaso del sol, para hacer lindas fotos, en la primera fotografía se observa una curiara o barquita, que realizan el transporte entre la población de Caicara y Cabruta, luego vemos un grupo de personas y niños frente al río, en la siguiente, la alcaldía de este municipio y una fotografía del atardecer por los alrededores del río Orinoco, en el sector el Guamo, a continuación otra vista de la alcaldía y del río, donde se aprecia el nivel de la crecida, en esta fecha, las aguas solo llegaban hasta la parte baja del muro de la alcaldía.
This is the first time I've visited the viewpoint during high water. It's impressive how the water covers the avenue and you can barely see the benches. During the dry season, the view is completely different; you can see the rocks, the riverbank, which extends for several meters, and a ship that sank many years ago. I didn't imagine seeing so many people waiting for the sunset and taking pictures of this beautiful natural spectacle. From the wall of the town hall, I could appreciate the immensity and beauty of the river. It was somewhat difficult to take pictures of the sunset in a secluded spot because there were many people sitting on the benches, others on motorcycles, and still others standing, waiting for the afternoon to end so they could take pictures.
In just a few photos, I managed to capture the sunset without any other visitors. To do this, I positioned myself to one side of the wall, focusing on different points depending on the area I had to move around. Around 5 pm, you can see the sun setting and the colors reflected in the sky: yellow, light purple, and a grayish hue. Then, in the next photograph, the gray is more pronounced, along with the light yellow and the reflection of the sun's rays on the water. I didn't want to go all the way down to the bottom of the wall; I preferred to stay at the top to avoid getting my shoes wet. At that moment, I regretted not having gone without my plastic shoes. With them, I could have at least gone as far as the benches and watched the river rise and experience my favorite time of day, with its beautiful brushstrokes that adorn the sky as it bids farewell to day and gives way to night.
Es la primera vez que visito el mirador en tiempo de crecida, es impresionante como el agua cubre la avenida y apenas se ven los bancos, en tiempo de sequía la vista es totalmente diferente, se aprecian las rocas, la ribera, que abarca varios metros y un barco que se hundió hace muchos años; no imaginé ver tantas personas esperando la puesta del sol y tomando fotografías de este hermoso espectáculo natural, desde el muro de la alcaldía pude apreciar la inmensidad y belleza del río, fue un tanto difícil tomar fotografías del atardecer en un espacio solo, porque habían muchas personas en el área de los bancos, sentadas, otras estaban en moto y de pie esperando que cayera la tarde, para hacer fotografías.
En pocas fotos logré captar el atardecer, sin la presencia de visitantes, para ello me ubiqué a un lado del muro, enfocando en diferentes puntos de acuerdo al área que tenía para movilizarme; ya a partir de las 5 de la tarde se observa la declinación del Sol y los colores reflejados en el cielo, este se ve de color amarillo, claro morado y un color grisáceo, luego en la siguiente fotografía se acentúa el color gris, la presencia del color amarillo claro y el reflejo de los rayos del sol en el agua, no me quise acercar hasta la parte baja del muro, preferí quedarme en la parte superior, para no mojar los zapatos, en ese momento lamenté haber ido sin mis zapatos de plástico, con ellos hubiese ido al menos hasta los bancos y observar desde allí la crecida del río y el momento del día que más me gusta, con sus lindas pinceladas que adornan el cielo para despedir el día y dar paso a la noche.
Although I looked for a spot just to take sunset photos, it wasn't possible due to the number of people also waiting to enjoy this beautiful spectacle. I decided to wait until later and photograph the silhouettes backlit. I really like these photos because they combine a beautiful color palette, the sun reflected on the water, and the figures of the people, which definitely create a great contrast. As the sun set, the view of the silhouettes became even better. I stayed on top of the wall of the town hall and from there I managed to get these lovely shots. When a group started to leave, I managed to take a photo of the sunset without any people present, but to be honest, the silhouettes and the golden path on the water make a beautiful combination, forming a great landscape. The clouds had a somewhat strange shape; they looked like a mushroom or a fan. In short, the view is simply spectacular. Something that caught my attention, and was also amusing, was seeing the boy on top of the town hall building. Perhaps he was observing the rising river from above. I liked the sunset photos; they look very beautiful, and the mushroom-shaped cloud is spectacular. At the top, it's grayish-white, while in the center and at the bottom, it's a combination of yellow, a very light red, and gray again. Below it, you can see the imposing mountain of the town of Cabruta in Guárico state. When you cross the Orinoco River (in the Bolívar-Guárico direction), the view of the mountain is amazing. It also indicates how close you are to reaching the town of Cabruta, an important fishing port in Guárico state, which also marks the border between the two states. Cabruta is the border of Guárico state with Bolívar, and Caicara del Orinoco constitutes the border between Bolívar and Guárico states.
The last four photos are my favorites. In the first, you can see a beautiful view of the sun's reflection on the water as it sets. A beautiful golden color covers the sky, and a small path appears in the water. In the following photos, although they have very similar elements, different points of the river stand out. You can see the trees in front of the town hall and two clumps of vegetation on the riverbank. In the next photo, we see one of the trees. The cloud seems to have the shape of a bear, or perhaps other shapes, but I see it most as a bear, and other colors appear that paint the sunset. In the last photo, we see the silhouettes again. The motorcycles look very curious, and the people are standing on the benches. Visiting the river at this time of day is a lovely experience where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sunset and welcome the night.
Aunque busqué un espacio solo para tomar fotografías del atardecer, no fue posible debido a la cantidad de personas que también esperaban disfrutar de este hermoso espectáculo, decidí esperar hasta más tarde y fotografiar las siluetas a contraluz, estas fotos realmente me gustan porque combinan una hermosa paleta de colores, el sol reflejado en el agua y las figuras de las personas, que definitivamente crean un gran contraste, a medida que avanzaba el ocaso del sol la vista de las siluetas era mucho mejor, permanecí en la parte alta del muro de la alcaldía y desde allí logré estas lindas capturas, cuando un grupo empezó a retirarse, conseguí tomar una foto del atardecer sin la presencia de personas, pero siendo honesta las siluetas y el camino dorado en el agua, hacen una hermosa combinación, formando un gran paisaje; las nubes tenían una forma algo extraña, se veía como un hongo o abanico, en definitiva la vista es sencillamente espectacular. Algo que me llamó la atención y a la vez gracioso, fue ver al chico en la parte superior del edificio de la alcaldía, tal vez estaba observando la crecida del río desde las alturas, las foto del atardecer me gustaron, se ven muy bonitas y la nube con forma de hongos se ve espectacular, en la parte de arriba es de color blanco grisáceo, mientras que en el centro y en la parte de abajo, es una combinación de los colores amarillo, un rojo muy leve y nuevamente el gris; debajo de ella se observa la imponente montaña de la población de Cabruta estado Guárico, cuando atraviesas el río Orinoco (en el sentido Bolívar -Guárico) la vista de la montaña es sorprendente, además indica cuan cerca estás de llegar a la población de Cabruta, un importante Puerto pesquero del estado Guárico y que a su vez marca el límite entre ambos estados, Cabruta es el límite del estado Guárico con Bolívar y Caicara del Orinoco, constituye el límite entre el estado Bolívar y Guárico.
Las cuatro últimas fotografías, son mis favoritas en la primera se aprecia una hermosa vista del reflejo del sol en el agua, mientras se va ocultando, un hermoso color dorado cubre el cielo y un pequeño sendero en el agua, en las siguientes aunque tienen elementos muy parecidos, destacan diferentes puntos del río, se aprecian los árboles que están al frente de la alcaldía y dos masas vegetales en la orilla del río, en la siguiente apreciamos uno de los árboles, la nube pareciera tener forma de oso, o quizás otras figuras, pero la veo más parecida un oso y se asoman otros colores que pintan el atardecer; en la última foto, nuevamente vemos la siluetas, las motos se ven muy curiosas y las personas paradas en los bancos, visitar el río a esta hora del día, es una linda experiencia en la cual puedes disfrutar la hermosa vista del atardecer y darle la bienvenida a la noche.
