My visit to the Carúpano amphitheater; a cultural and recreational space by the sea, with enchanting scenery (Eng - Esp)
Hello fellow travelers, it's a pleasure to greet you. I hope you have an excellent and blessed weekend. I'm happy to share my visit to the Carúpano Acoustic Shell. I definitely enjoyed my trip to this beautiful city. I was able to see several charming and eye-catching places. The acoustic shell is located on the coastal strip in the El Boquete sector, along Rómulo Gallegos Avenue. This area boasts some of the city's most prominent landmarks, distinguished by the beautiful seascapes.
The acoustic shell is white and serves as a stage for various cultural, recreational, and sporting activities. Its design is semicircular, and the ends rest on rectangular columns. In the photograph, you can see the main columns at the ends; they are wider and larger than the others. These columns consist of several tubes that are joined together and support this large structure. The floor is concrete, and its location offers a beautiful view of the sea and the mountains. Around the shell is a walkway lined with several sea grape trees. Along the way, I saw several specimens. In the other photograph, we see the shell's structure with the exterior support beams extending to the roof. These beams rise from the rectangular base, converge in the center, and from there, the panels that form the structure are inserted. The support beams have small sections in their centers that create several triangles or a zigzag pattern.
In total, there are six exterior support beams, and the roof is located between the spaces between them. While walking through this area, I took several photographs of the beach, and I loved the view: a path of grass and rocks, with the sea lapping against the ground. This image is relaxing and one of my favorites.
Hola amigos viajeros, es un placer saludarles, es deseo que tengan un excelente y bendecido fin de semana, me siento feliz de compartir mi visita a la Concha acústica Carúpano, definitivamente el viaje a esta hermosa ciudad gustó mucho, pude conocer varios lugares que por cierto son encantadores y llamativos, la concha acústica se encuentra ubicada en la cinta costera del sector El Boquete y la avenida Rómulo Gallegos, en esta franja se encuentran destacados lugares de la ciudad, que resaltan por los hermosos paisajes que ofrece el mar.
La concha acústica es de color blanco y sirve de escenario para la realización de diferentes actividades culturales, recreativas y deportivas, el diseño es semicircular y las terminaciones descansan en columnas rectangulares, en la fotografía observamos las columnas principales ubicadas en los extremos, son más anchas y grandes que las otras, estas constan de varios tubos que se unen y sirven como soporte a esta gran estructura, el piso es de concreto y su ubicación ofrece una hermosa vista del mar y la montaña; alrededor de la concha se ubica una caminería con varios árboles de uvero de playa, durante el trayecto pude ver varios ejemplares, en la otra fotografía vemos la estructura de la concha con las vigas de soporte exterior hacia el techo, esta se extienden desde la base rectangular se unen en el centro y desde allí, se insertan las láminas que forman la estructura, las vigas de soporte tienen en el centro pequeños que forman varios triángulos o camino en zigzag.
En total tiene seis vigas de soporte exterior y entre los espacios que forman cada una de estas se encuentra el techo, mientras caminaba por esta zona tomé varias fotografías de la playa y la vista me encantó, un camino de grama, rocas y al lado el agua del mar golpeando el terreno, esta imagen es relajante y una de mis favoritas.
At the top front, you can see how the sheets are joined to the roof beams. There's also a lamp in the center and small beams around the sheets. Viewed from this angle, it's shaped like the letter D and resembles a giant tent, made of iron sheets. The next photograph shows the underside of this striking shell and how the beams are joined to the sheets with a kind of woven structure made of small rods that connect the sheet to the upper beam. Thin tubes, acting as threads to attach it to the supports on the floor, are also visible.
Its excellent location on the seashore offers beautiful scenery. You can see the cliff, the beautiful mountain, and the sky with many clouds, creating a lovely and enchanting landscape. On the way to the shell, you can see the sea, an abandoned ship, and several rocks protruding from the cliff. The sea is calm, the waves gently crashing against the ship. The view of the sea on the path leading to the shell is relaxing and beautiful. The water hits the shore and returns to the sea, and so a cycle repeats itself. I love watching it because of the waves that form when the water touches the rocks and how they are moved by the wind. This area is covered with grass and some rocks. Following the dirt paths, the marine ecosystem is one of my favorites because of the enchanting views it offers. Whether in the morning or at sunset, the landscapes are beautiful, although one of my favorites is the sunset 🌇. The morning landscapes are beautiful and you can appreciate varied views of the place, especially before sunrise. The landscape is spectacular and there is a pleasant breeze to relax while you admire it and take a walk along the beach.
En la parte frontal superior se observa cómo se unen las láminas a las vigas del techo también una lámpara en el centro y pequeñas vigas alrededor de las láminas, viéndola desde este ángulo tiene forma de letra D y parece una carpa gigantesca, elaborada con láminas de hierro, en la siguiente fotografía se aprecian inferiores de esta llamativa concha y como las vigas se unen a las láminas con una una especie de tejido formado por pequeñas cabillas que se unen desde la lámina hasta la viga superior, se observan también tubos delgados que hacen la función de los hilospara unirla a los soportes que se encuentran en el piso.
Su excelente ubicación a la orilla del mar, ofrece hermosos paisajes, se observa el acantilado, la hermosa montaña y el cielo con muchas nubes creando un lindo y encantador paisaje, en el trayecto hacia la concha se observa el mar un barco abandonado y varias rocas que sobresalen del acantilado, el mar en calma, las olas suavemente chocan con el barco ⛵ la vista del mar en el camino conduce a la concha es relajante y bonita, el agua golpea la orilla vuelve al mar y así un ciclo que se repite, me encanta verlo por las ondas que se forman al contacto del agua con las rocas y cómo son movidas por el viento; esta zona está cubierta por grama y algunas rocas, a continuación de los caminos de tierra, el ecosistema marino, es uno de mis favoritos por las encantadoras vistas que ofrece, ya sea en la mañana o en el atardecer, los paisajes son hermosos aunque uno de mis favoritos es el atardecer 🌇 los paisajes matutinos son hermosos y se pueden apreciar variadas vistas del lugar, especialmente antes de salir el sol el paisaje es espectacular y con una agradable brisa para relajarse mientras admiras y realizas una caminata por la orilla de la playa.
One detail I particularly enjoyed about this coastal area is the presence of benches and walls adorned with marine wildlife. These benches, located along the walkway, come in various designs: traditional benches decorated with caico tiles, rectangular benches, and V-shaped benches without backs. Beside each bench are trapezoidal walls decorated with figures representing marine life, such as dolphins, crabs, and turtles. These figures are crafted from ceramic cutouts, creating beautiful mosaics that embellish the coastal strip.
I also noticed the abundance of sea grape trees. I don't think I've ever seen so many sea grape trees. Unlike the beaches I've visited in Cumaná, the capital of Sucre state, and others in the Bermúdez municipality, this area has few palm trees. At the entrance, I saw approximately three or four palm trees, and the vegetation beyond them consists of sea grape trees of varying sizes, along with some neem plants. However, the most abundant plant along this stretch is definitely the sea grape tree.
Continuing along the path through this beautiful space where the acoustic shell is located, in addition to the sea grape trees and the walls that decorate this walkway, there is a rock walkway. This is my favorite because from there you can observe the beautiful landscape and feel the drops of water that splash as they hit the rocks. In a complete view, you can appreciate part of the shell's terrain and the aerobic walkway, which is located a few kilometers from this beautiful structure. As I mentioned at the beginning, it has the shape of the letter D and several piles or supports, with different thicknesses. Those that support the beams are thicker, and those that serve as the base for the sheet are thinner. From this point, you can see the beach, and next to one of the support walls is a beautiful palm tree. The path is divided into sections of cement, sections of dirt, then another section of cement, and finally a rocky path along the seashore. The next photograph is, for me, the most beautiful because of the incredible view of the sea. Through this tent structure, you can see the mountain, part of the pier, and a beautiful blue sea that seems to merge with the sky. Inside, there are stairs that lead to the podium where the artists or presenters are located to carry out the different activities. In the last photograph, we have a view of the shell, the cliff, the rocks, and the concrete walkway next to it. I liked the design of the shell, but even more so its excellent location next to the sea, as it is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the seascape while the activities are taking place inside. After my tour of the area where the shell is located, I decided it was time to rest and sit on the rocks. There I could enjoy the cool breeze and see some fish swimming peacefully in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Un detalle que me gustó de esta zona costera, es la presencia de bancos y muros con adornos alusivos a la fauna marina, a lo largo de la calzada se encuentran ubicados estos bancos tienen varios diseños, los bancos tradicionales, decorados con caico, los otros rectangulare y en forma de V sin espaldar, al lado de cada uno de ellos muros en forma de trapecio con figuras representativas de la fauna marina, como delfines, cangrejos y tortugas, los cuales están hechos con recortes de cerámica creando hermosos mosaicos que adornan la franja costera.
También la presencia de Uveros de playa, creo que nunca había visto tantos Uveros de playa, a diferencia de las playas que he visitado en Cumaná capital del estado Sucre y otras del municipio Bermúdez, en esta hay pocas palmeras, en la entrada pude observar aproximadamente tres o cuatro palmeras y la vegetación que continúa son uveros de diferentes tamaños, además algunas plantas de Neem, pero definitivamente la planta que más abunda en esta franja son los uveros.
Continuando en el recorrido por este hermoso espacio donde se encuentra la concha acústica, además de los uveros y los muros que decoran este paseo, se encuentra una caminería de roca, esta es mi favorita porque desde allí se observa el hermoso paisaje y puedes sentir las gotas de agua que salpican al chocar con las rocas, en una vista completa se aprecia parte del terreno de la concha y el paseo aeróbico, que se ubica a pocos kilómetros de esta hermosa estructura, como lo mencioné al principio tiene forma de letra D y varios pilotes o soportes, con diferente grosor los que sirven de soporte a las vigas son más gruesos y los que sirven de base a la lámina son más delgados; desde este punto se observa la playa y al lado de uno de los muros de soporte se encuentra una hermosa palmera, el camino está dividido en áreas de cemento, áreas de tierra a continuación área de cemento y seguidamente de esta un camino de roca por la orilla del mar, la siguiente fotografía es para mí la más hermosa, por la increíble vista del mar, a través de esta estructura de la carpa, se observa la montaña, parte del muelle y un hermoso mar azul que parece unirse con el cielo, en el interior hay escaleras que conducen al podio donde se ubican los artistas o presentadores para desarrollar las diferentes actividades, en la última fotografía tenemos una vista de la concha, el acantilado, las rocas y la caminería de concreto al lado de esta, me gustó el diseño de la concha pero más su excelente ubicación al lado del mar, pues es una excelente oportunidad para disfrutar el paisaje marino mientras se desarrollan las actividades en la concha, luego de mi recorrido por el área donde se encuentra la concha, decidí que era momento de descansar y sentarme en las rocas, allí pude disfrutar la fresca brisa y ver algunos peces nadando tranquilamente en la cálidas aguas del Mar Caribe.

It's quite interesting how they design the area for people or tourist to visit it. Good to view on those benches while taking photos too.

The acoustic shell’s "D" shape is so unique, and I love that you noticed the little details—like the ceramic dolphin mosaics on the benches and the sea grape trees.
