My visit to Bolívar Square in Tunapuy, Sucre State (Eng - Esp)
Hello there, fellow travelers around the world! It is a pleasure to greet you and share my visit to Plaza Bolívar in Tunapuy—the capital of the Libertador Municipality in Sucre State. I was immediately drawn to this plaza by its beautiful design, featuring benches along the sides, trees, and lovely lamps. At the main entrance, there is a small traffic circle followed by a walkway leading to the statue of El Libertador, Simón Bolívar; the path begins at a circle before extending outward, flanked by grassy areas.
The benches on either side of the plaza look very attractive, and there are several trees at the back providing shade. Beside the benches near the entrances stand columns topped with lamps; next to these are rectangular structures featuring circles at the top—a design element I really liked because it adds a unique touch and gives the plaza an elegant look. After walking along the beautiful path, I headed toward the side entrances, which feature white railings; square decorative elements adorn each entrance. The flooring is a mix of concrete and granite with patterned designs, and a lovely border of plants lines both walkways. Gardens and lamp posts with round white lights are situated along the sides of the paths. The entrance was definitely my favorite part, with those concrete rectangles standing beside the posts and their lamps. The central concrete walkway looks lovely and complements the gardens on either side. At another entrance, you can see this same design again, along with benches located on the plaza's outer perimeter. Nearby, you’ll also find the parish house and the Caritas Foundation, which provides assistance to families and community groups. The plaza's lamps are also very beautiful, standing out against the backdrop of green trees.
Hola, hola amigos viajeros en todo el mundo es un placer saludarles y compartir mi visita a la plaza Bolívar de Tunapuy capital del municipio de Libertador en el estado Sucre, desde que vi esta plaza me gustó por su hermoso diseño, con bancos en los lados, árboles y unas lámparas muy hermosas, en la entrada principal hay una pequeña redoma luego una caminería que conduce hasta la escultura del Libertador Simón Bolívar; esta inicia en un círculo, luego se desprende la caminería adornada con grama.
Los bancos a ambos lados de la plaza, se ven muy bonitos y en la parte posterior hay varios árboles que ofrecen sombra, al lado de los bancos ubicados en las entradas, hay unas columnas donde están las lámparas y al lado de ellas unos rectángulos con círculos en la parte superior, este diseño fue el que realmente me gustó porque agrega un toque diferente a la plaza, además de hacerla lucir muy elegante, luego de avanzar por la hermosa caminería me dirigí hacia las entradas laterales y cuenta con pasamanos de chaguaramos en color blanco, a continuación vemos los cuadrados adornando cada entrada de la plaza, el piso es de concreto y granito, tiene varias figuras en su diseño y un lindo camino de plantas que bordea ambos pasillos, a los lados de los pasillos se ubican los jardines, los postes con lámparas blancas redondas; la entrada definitivamente fue mi parte favorita con los rectángulos de concreto al lado de los postes y su respectivas lámparas, la caminería de concreto en el centro se ve muy bonita y hace juego con los jardines a cada lado, en otra de las entradas se observa nuevamente este diseño y los bancos ubicados en la parte exterior de la plaza, cerca de la plaza se encuentra también la casa parroquial y la fundación Caritas que ofrece ayuda a las familias y sectores de la comunidad, las lámparas de la plaza también son muy bonitas y resaltan entre los verdes árboles.
The sculpture of Simón Bolívar is located directly in front of the church, resting on a beige granite pedestal with black and gray streaks; a plaque on the front displays the name of the square along with the Liberator's birth and death years, and the monument is encircled by a round black iron fence.
Handrails on either side lead toward the church or out of the square; another view of the sculpture reveals the walkways and houses surrounding the area. It had rained on the day of my visit, so water was visible in certain parts of the square. I then walked along one of the paths, observing the trees—mostly Neem, which are abundant in the state, particularly in public spaces. Next, there is a view of the sculpture from the back, showing the Liberator standing with his sword in his right hand. Finally, off to one side, there is a small fountain; I really liked it because it is made of rock and concrete, giving it a rustic style that harmonizes with the square's natural setting. Tunapuy is notable for being a town surrounded by lush vegetation and a beautiful mountain visible along the road—in fact, that lovely mountain can be seen from most of the streets I visited. It was a delightful tour of the square; I particularly enjoyed its design, especially the central walkway leading up to the sculpture.
La escultura de Simón Bolívar se ubica exactamente al frente de la iglesia, reposa en un pedestal de granito de color beige con trazos negro y gris, en el frente tiene una placa donde se lee el nombre de la plaza y el año de nacimiento y de defunción del libertador, está rodeada por una cerca perimetral circular, formada por rejas de color negro.
A ambos lados, hay pasamanos que conducen a la iglesia o para salir de la plaza, en otra vista de la escultura tenemos las caminerías y algunas casas ubicadas alrededor de la plaza, el día de mi visita había llovido y se observa el agua en ciertos espacios de la plaza, luego avancé por una de las caminerías observando los árboles, la mayoría de ellos son de Neem, abundantes en el estado, especialmente los espacios publicos; luego tenemos una vista posterior de la escultura, el Libertador está de pie con la espada en su mano derecha, finalmente hacia uno de los lados se encuentra una pequeña fuente, que me gustó mucho porque está hecha con rocas y concreto, lo cual le da un estilo rústico y acorde con el entorno natural de la plaza, Tunapuy destaca por ser una población rodeada de vegetación y la hermosa montaña a lo largo de la carretera, de hecho en la mayoría de las calles que pude visitar se observa la hermosa montaña, fue un lindo recorrido por esta plaza, me gustó su diseño especialmente la caminería del centro que conduce hasta la escultura.
