My tour of the plaza YO ♥️ Cumaná and its striking wave-shaped benches (Eng - Esp)
Greetings fellow travelers! I hope you have an excellent and blessed week with your loved ones. This time, I'm sharing a pleasant visit to the "I Love Cumaná" Plaza. It's located at the entrance to the city on the Cumaná-Puerto La Cruz national highway, near areas like El Tacal and La Montañita. The plaza sits beside the highway and connects with the Bordones area and a traffic circle of the same name, very close to the beautiful beaches of San Luis and Bordones. This area also houses hotels, residences, and restaurants to serve tourists and visitors.
The plaza has a beautiful design. I liked the floor for its varied colors. Upon entering, there's a circle with multicolored stripes, similar to a roulette wheel. Behind it, there's a mural with the pronoun "I" in white. Then there's a double heart, also located on a gray post, and next to it, the word "Cumaná."
Taking a stroll through this striking plaza, you'll notice the colorful stripes on the ground and the steps leading to the center. There are three steps in total, painted with red and blue squares. The ground features stripes of yellow, blue, red, and white, with some gray areas. From this vantage point, you can see the lush vegetation that characterizes this part of the city. The plaza boasts ornamental trees,
located in eye-catching triangular planters separated by a small concrete walkway that leads to the back of the plaza. Next, you'll see a view of the steps and the plaza's circular shape, where the various sculptures and lettering are located. Finally, there's a closer look at the planters and the red ground, with the concrete walkway that borders and defines the plaza area.
Saludos amigos viajeros deseo que tengan una excelente y bendecida semana en unión de sus seres queridos, en esta ocasión les comparto una agradable visita a la plaza Yo amo a Cumaná, esta se ubica en la entrada de la ciudad en la carretera nacional cumaná Puerto la Cruz y sectores como el Tacal y la Montañita, la plaza se encuentra a un lado de la carretera y converge con la zona de los bordones y un distribuidor del mismo nombre, muy cerca de las hermosas playas del sector San Luis y los Bordones, también este espacio alberga hoteles, residencias y restaurantes, para atender a los turistas y visitantes.
La plaza tiene un hermoso diseño, el piso me gustó por sus variados colores, al entrar se encuentra un círculo con franjas de varios colores similares a una ruleta, en la parte posterior se ve un mural con el pronombre YO, de color blanco, luego tenemos un corazón doble, ubicado igualmente que la frase anterior, en un poste de color gris y al lado de este la palabra Cumaná.
Haciendo un recorrido por esta plaza llamativa, se observan las franjas de colores, en el piso y los escalones que conducen al centro, en total son tres y están pintados con cuadrados de color rojo y azul, en el piso hay franjas de color amarillo, azul y rojo y blanco, en algunos espacios de color gris, desde este punto se observa la exuberante vegetación que caracteriza a esta parte de la ciudad, la plaza posee árboles ornamentales,
ubicados en llamativas jardineras con forma triangular y separadas por una pequeña caminería de concreto, para desplazarse a la parte trasera de la plaza, seguidamente una vista de los escalones y la forma circular que tiene la plaza, allí se ubican las diferentes esculturas y las letras, luego una vista más cercana de las jardineras y el piso de color rojo, con el pasillo de concreto que bordea y delimita el área de la plaza.
Moving towards the center of the plaza, we see the word Cumaná spelled out in stripes of varying shades of blue, water droplets, and waves. These colors in the letters represent the extensive coastline of Sucre state and its capital city. On the reverse side, water droplets are visible, splashing across the letters with their respective stripes. LED lights are set in concrete squares on the front of the wall where the letters are located.
Something that caught my attention in this plaza are the benches behind the letters. They are wave-shaped, gray in color, and offer a lovely space for taking photos and relaxing. Because it's located in an open area, the ideal times to visit and rest are in the morning or afternoon; the sun's rays are intense during the rest of the day. From a front view, we see the shape of the benches and the wall as a wave or ripple. First, we see the bench, then a view of the back of the letters and the vegetation surrounding this space. Next, we see a view of the bench located behind the pronoun "YO" (I), which, like the previous one, is also wave-shaped, with the backrest formed by the wall that creates this small roundabout. Then we have another view where we can see the red heart, the word "Cumaná," and some stairs leading to the plaza. Following that is a closer view of the wave-shaped wall and its reflection on the ground. The LED lights are located in front and form a kind of semicircle.
Avanzando hacia el centro de la plaza, observamos la palabra Cumaná, con franjas en diferentes tonos de color azul, gotas de agua y olas, estos colores en las letras representan la amplia extensión de costas que posee el estado Sucre y la ciudad capital, en el reverso, se ven las gotas de agua que salpican todas las letras con sus respectivas franjas, en la parte frontal del muro donde se ubican las letras están los bombillos LED ubicados en cuadros de concreto.
Algo que me llamó la atención de esta plaza, son sus bancos ubicados al reverso de las letras, tienen forma de onda son de color gris y ofrecen un hermoso espacio para hacer fotografías y descansar, debido a que se ubica en un espacio abierto, las horas ideales para visitarla y descansar es en la mañana o en la tarde, el resto del día los rayos del sol son intensos; en una vista frontal tenemos la forma de los bancos y del muro como una onda u ola, en la primera parte el banco, luego una vista de la parte trasera de las letras y la vegetación que rodea este espacio, seguidamente una vista del banco ubicado detrás del pronombre YO, al igual que la anterior es también en forma de onda y el espaldar lo constituye el muro que forma esta pequeña redoma, luego tenemos otra vista donde apreciamos el corazón rojo, la palabra Cumaná y algunas escaleras para acceder a la plaza, a continuación una vista más cercana del muro en forma de onda y su reflejo en el suelo, los bombillos led están ubicados al frente y forman una especie de semicírculo.
In the background, we observe the bench in detail, its backrest embedded in the wall, and the "I" pronoun post. Next, we see some of the hotels, including the Nueva Toledo. We can also appreciate part of the mountain and the colorful strip of this plaza, as well as the road that leads to San Luis beach in the Los Bordones sector.
Walking along the walkways, we see their different sections, divisions, and paths for moving between different points. We also have a partial view of the back, the stairs, the mountain in the background, and some of the posts located on this avenue. On the right side, we see the municipal booth, part of the road leading to the beach, and the steps to access it. At the back of the plaza, there's a white post with a flower on top that combines white and red. I don't know if it's functional, but its design is very pretty. Finally, we have a view of the walkways, the triangular planters, and the hotels in the background. I really liked the design of this plaza, as well as its unusual benches located at the back, and the wave-shaped wall that serves as a backrest. The colors of the lettering are very beautiful and complement the tones seen in the sea along the different sections of Cumaná's coastal strip.
Furthermore, it has a strategic location, coinciding with its proximity to the beach and the entrance to the city of Cumaná on the Antonio José de Sucre highway, heading towards Puerto la Cruz and some towns in the municipality such as Tacal, La Montañita, and Santa Fe. The design of this plaza is very different from those usually found in the city; it has a circular shape, walkways on the sides, and the letters are placed in different spaces.
When viewed together, they form the phrase "I love Cumaná." It was a lovely stroll through this striking plaza at sunset.
En la parte posterior observamos el banco en detalle, su espaldar, además incrustado en el muro, el poste pronombre YO, a continiación se observan algunos de los hoteles, entre ellos el Nueva Toledo, se aprecia también parte de la montaña y la franja colorida de esta plaza, también la carretera que conduce a la playa San Luis sector los Bordones.
Haciendo un recorrido por las caminerías, se ven sus diferentes franjas, divisiones y caminerías, para desplazarse por los diferentes puntos, también tenemos una vista parcial de la parte trasera, las escaleras, la montaña al fondo y algunos de los postes ubicados en esta avenida; en el lateral derecho vemos la casilla municipal, parte de la carretera que conduce a la playa y los escalones para acceder, en la parte posterior de la plaza hay un poste de color blanco con una flor en la parte superior que combina los colores blanco y rojo, desconozco si esta funciona pero su diseño es muy bonito y finalmente tenemos una vista de las caminerías, las jardineras triangulares y los hoteles al fondo, el diseño de esta plaza me gustó mucho, así como sus curiosos bancos que están ubicados en la parte posterior y el muro en forma de onda sirve como respaldo, los colores que tienen las letras son muy bonitos y acordes con los tonos que se observan en el mar, en las diferentes zonas de la cinta costera de Cumaná.
Además, tiene una ubicación estratégica, ya que coincide con su cercanía a la playa y la entrada a la ciudad de Cumaná en el sentido de la autopista Antonio José de Sucre, hacia Puerto la Cruz y algunas poblaciones del municipio como el Tacal la Montañita y Santa Fe, el diseño de esta plaza es muy diferente a los que regularmente hay en la ciudad, tiene forma circular, caminería a los lados y la letras están ubicadas en diferentes espacios,
al verlas en conjunto, forman la frase Yo amo a Cumaná, fue un lindo recorrido al atardecer por esta llamativa plaza.
