My tour of the eastern region visiting its beautiful beaches and mountain area (Eng - Esp)
Hello fellow travelers around the world, it's a pleasure to greet you, wishing you an excellent week with your loved ones. The eastern region of Venezuela combines mountains and coasts, offering beautiful landscapes. It comprises the states of Sucre, Monagas, and Anzoátegui, where you can enjoy beautiful beaches. And if you love the mountains and their spectacular cool climate, Caripe is the perfect destination to enjoy a beautiful view of the Turimiquire Valley, the mountain climate, and foggy days. Several years ago, while I was studying at university, I had the opportunity to tour this beautiful region of Venezuela.
Our trip began in Maturín, the capital of Monagas state, where the town of Caripe is located. We took transportation from the university and in approximately two hours arrived in Caripe, known as the Garden of the East. During the drive from Maturín to Caripe, you can enjoy a beautiful natural landscape with mountains, abundant vegetation, and valleys. You also pass through the following towns: Aragua de Maturín, Guanaguana, San Antonio de Capayacuar, among others. The views along this road are truly breathtaking. On both sides of the road, you can see beautiful mountains and cultivated areas. There are also several swimming spots such as Puertas de Miraflores, Salto Aparicio, and more. Puertas de Miraflores is notable for its famous "neverita" (icebox) and the main bridge that leads to the rivers that flow towards the famous "gates." The "neverita" is a wall-like structure where the water falls like a waterfall, offering refuge from the cold waters characteristic of this region of Monagas state.
In Caripe, the water is even colder and the landscape is beautiful, surrounded by flowers and the presence of mist in the morning and afternoon. Upon arriving at our destination, we headed to the viewpoint, from where we could observe part of the city. I focused mainly on the mountain view and took some photographs. Although it was a busy trip due to the activities we were doing, we had time to observe the landscape, walk around, and contemplate the beauty of this lovely town in eastern Venezuela, nestled in the Turimiquire mountain range valley. We also passed by the ruins of an old church in Guanaguana and had the opportunity to walk through its streets and taste the famous and delicious strawberries and cream, a typical dessert of this town that you must try when visiting Caripe. After exploring the streets of this town, we took the road that leads to the state of Anzoátegui. This state is characterized by its beautiful beaches, and it also has mountains that are part of the coastal mountain range.
Hola amigos viajeros en todo el mundo, es un placer saludarles, deseando que tengan una excelente semana en unión de sus seres queridos; la región oriental de Venezuela combina montañas y costas que ofrecen hermosos paisajes y está formada por los estados Sucre, Monagas y Anzoátegui, en ella tienes la posibilidad de disfrutar hermosas playas y si eres amantes de la montaña y su espectacular clima frío, Caripe es el destino perfecto para disfrutar una hermosa vista del valle del Turimiquire, el clima de montaña y días con neblina, hace varios años tuve la oportunidad, mientras cursaba mis estudios en la universidad, de hacer un recorrido por esta hermosa región de Venezuela.
Nuestro viaje salió desde la ciudad Maturín, capital del estado Monagas donde se ubica la población de Caripe, tomamos el transporte desde la universidad y en aproximadamente 2 horas estábamos en la población de Caripe, conocida como el jardín de Oriente, durante el recorrido desde maturín hacia Caripe, puedes disfrutar un hermoso paisaje natural, con montañas, abundante vegetación y valles, además pasas pasas por los siguientes pueblos:
Aragua de Maturín, Guanaguana, San Antonio de Capayacuar, entre otros, la vista en esta carretera es realmente impresionante, a ambos lados de la vía se observan hermosas montañas, zonas de cultivo, también hay varios balnearios como las Puertas de Miraflores, salto Aparicio y más, el primero destaca por la famosa neverita y el puente principal que conduce a los ríos que te llevan a las famosas puertas, la neverita es una construcción en forma de muro donde el agua cae como una cascada y en la cual te puede resguardar del frío que caracteriza las aguas de esta zona del estado Monagas.
En Caripe, el agua es aún más fría y el paisaje hermoso, rodeado de flores y la presencia de la neblina en horario matutino y vespertino, al llegar a nuestro destino, nos dirigimos al mirador, desde donde pudimos observar parte de la ciudad, yo me enfoqué principalmente en la vista de la montaña y tomé algunas fotografías, aunque fue un viaje ocupado, por las actividades que estábamos haciendo, tuvimos tiempo para observar el paisaje, caminar y contemplar la belleza de esta hermosa población del oriente venezolano, enclavada en el valle de la serranía del Turimiquire, también pasamos por las ruinas de una antigua iglesia en Guanaguana y tuvimos la oportunidad de caminar por sus calles y degustar las famosas y deliciosas fresas con crema, un postre típico de esta ciudad y que debes comer cuando visita la población de Caripe, luego de recorrer las calles de esta población tomamos la carretera que conduce hacia el estado Anzoátegui, este estado se caracteriza por sus hermosas playas, también tiene montañas que forman parte de la cordillera de la costa.
Upon arriving in Anzoátegui state, our destination was the Morro viewpoint. From there, you can see part of the Caribbean Sea, Pozuelos Bay, and a large portion of Mochima National Park, a beautiful destination shared by the states of Sucre and Anzoátegui. Mochima is known for its beautiful beaches, topography, and striking water color. The Morro viewpoint features a network of walkways offering panoramic views of much of the city and the sea. This area also provides recreational spaces for children and adults. El Morro is an important landmark in Anzoátegui state, boasting an excellent location and incredible views. This was my first time visiting El Morro, and I loved it. I got a little tired climbing, but the effort was rewarded with breathtaking panoramas. I would have liked to spend more time exploring the different areas; perhaps on a future visit, which I hope will be soon.
Some people use this space for jogging and exercising. You can also drive, cycle, or ride a motorcycle and admire the beautiful scenery from this point in the city. It offers picture-postcard views for nature and landscape lovers. It's a peaceful spot, ideal for connecting with nature and relaxing while observing this marvel that borders the coast of Anzoátegui state.
Al llegar al estado Anzoátegui, nuestro destino fue el mirador del Morro, desde este lugar se ve parte del Mar Caribe la bahía de pozuelos y gran parte del parque Nacional Mochima, un hermoso destino que comparten los estados Sucre y el mencionado anteriormente, el cual destaca por sus hermosas playas, relieve y el llamativo color del agua, el mirador del Morro, cuenta con una especie de caminerías desde la cual puedes observar gran parte de la ciudad y una espectacular vista del mar, esta zona dispone de espacios recreativos para niños y adultos; el morro constituye un punto importante de referencia en el estado Anzoátegui, pues tiene una excelente ubicación, que ofrece increíbles vistas, es la primera vez que visito el morro y me encantó, me cansé un poco al subir, pero el esfuerzo fue recompensado con espectaculares panorámicas, me hubiese gustado pasar más tiempo y explorar las diferentes áreas, tal vez en una próxima visita sea posible y espero sea pronto.
Algunas personas utilizan este espacio para trotar y realizar ejercicios, también se puede subir en carro, bicicleta o moto y observar el hermoso paisaje desde este punto de la ciudad, que ofrece vistas de postales para los amantes de los paisajes y la naturaleza, es un sitio tranquilo, ideal para conectar con la naturaleza y relajarse, mientras observas esta maravilla que bordea la costa del estado Anzoátegui.
After a short tour of El Morro, we headed to Andrés Eloy Blanco Park. This is the largest urban park in Venezuela, and like El Morro, it boasts an excellent location. The view is breathtaking, and coincidentally, it has an amphitheater very similar to the one in Guaiquerí Park in the city of Cumaná. In fact, some of the walkways and the entrance share several similarities. The first time I visited this park, I told my friend that it was very similar to Guaiquerí, in terms of vegetation and walkways. The park is visited by children and adults for sports, recreation, and connecting with nature. It's an ideal space for those who love to escape the city routine and enjoy a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Adults and children alike gather at this place to enjoy various recreational activities and admire the beautiful views offered by this natural environment. Although it was a short trip, we had the opportunity to visit important sites in the states of Anzoátegui and Monagas. Both landscapes contrast beautifully; in Anzoátegui, in particular, you see the combination of mountains and beaches that offer a charming scenery for those who enjoy and love adventures in natural settings. The state of Monagas, for its part, offers beautiful views of mountains, valleys, and a spectacular climate.
Luego de un pequeño recorrido por el Morro, nos dirigimos al parque Andrés Eloy Blanco, este constituye el parque urbano más grande de Venezuela y al igual que el morro cuenta con una excelente ubicación, la vista es impresionante y coincidencialmente tiene una concha acústica muy parecida a la del parque Guaiquerí en la ciudad de Cumaná, de hecho algunas caminerías y la entrada tienen varias similitudes, la primera vez que visité este parque le comenté a mi amiga que era muy parecido al Guaiquerí, en cuanto a la vegetación y caminerías; el parque es visitado por niños y adultos para realizar actividades deportivas, de recreación y conectar con la naturaleza, es un espacio ideal para para quienes aman salir de la rutina citadina y disfrutar un espacio cómodo y relajante.
Adultos y niños se dan cita a este lugar para realizar diferentes actividades recreativas y observar la hermosa vista que ofrece este entorno natural, aunque fue un viaje corto tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer importantes lugares del estado Anzoátegui y Monagas, ambos paisajes contrastan muy bien, pues en ellos y especialmente en Anzoátegui, ves la combinación de montañas y playas que ofrecen un encantador paisaje a quienes disfrutan y aman la aventuras en entornos naturales, el estado Monagas por su parte ofrece hermosas vistas de la montaña, valles y un espectacular clima.

When I always heard about the country of Venezuela, the first thing that will cross in my mind is that's the country of full of attractive people. Whereas, on the other side it's full of picturesque view of nature. I like reading your blog, it pique my interest to take a visit in that particular place someday.
