Back at the skateboard park, checking out the new murals (Eng - Esp)
Greetings fellow travelers! I hope you're having a wonderful day. February is almost over, and where I live, it's been particularly hot. With March approaching, the heat and temperature are only going to increase, which reminds me that it's the perfect time to visit rivers and beaches for fun and family recreation. This time, I'm sharing my visit to the skateboard park located in the back of Ayacucho Park, a popular spot for young skateboarders. The park has been remodeled with new ramps and a facelift. The main wall now features eye-catching lettering in blue, red, and black, and new murals have been added to the back. The ramps and surrounding area have also been improved, giving this space a more cheerful, vibrant, and youthful feel.
In a previous visit I shared the new ramps with you; now, in addition to these, there is the completion of these ramps and the murals that decorate the walls. Most of the old ones have been replaced; only those on one of the side walls remain. The murals on the new ramp are new, depicting several iconic structures of the city. From this ramp and throughout the entire route to the track, you have the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful view of the Manzanares River, the city's main waterway, which flows through the urban center from north to south.
Saludos amigos viajeros, espero que tengan un feliz día, ya falta poco para que finalice el mes de febrero, en la zona donde vivo, ha sido particularmente muy caluroso y con la llegada de marzo se intensifica el calor y el aumento de la temperatura, lo cual me recuerda que es la temporada ideal para visitar los ríos, playas para la diversión y espracimiento en familia, en esta ocasión les comparto mi visita a la pista de skateboard ubicada en los espacios del parque Ayacucho, en la parte posterior, donde se dan cita muchos jóvenes amantes de este deporte; la pista ha sido remodelada y se han añadido nuevas rampas, además un cambio de imagenen la pared principal ahora cuenta con letras muy llamativas en color azul, rojo y negro, en la parte de atrás también se agregaron nuevos murales, acondicionaron las rampas y el entorno, lo cual le da un estilo más alegre, vibrante y juvenil a este espacio.
En una visita anterior, les compartí las nuevas rampas, ahora se suma a ello la culminación de estas y los murales que decoran las paredes paredes, en su mayoría fueron sustituidos, solo de los antiguos quedan los que están en la en una de las paredes laterales, los ubicados en la nueva rampa son inéditos, en ellos se representan varias estructuras icónicas de la ciudad, desde esta rampa y durante todo el trayecto que se recorre para llegar a la pista, tienes la oportunidad de apreciar la hermosa vista del río Manzanares, el principal curso de agua de la ciudad y que la atraviesa por el centro urbano, en sentido norte - sur.
The main wall is wide and long, and it features a mural that combines various shades of red, black, blue, and orange. According to one of the caretakers, the lettering is striking and linked to youth urban art. The letters have somewhat unusual shapes that make the place eye-catching. The presence of natural elements like the river and plants adds a fresh style, ideal for practicing this extreme sport.
After exploring Ayacucho Park, I arrived at the ramp area. It begins with a rectangle, then some stairs, and finally the initial track, which consists of tubes where the kids perform tricks. The altar is decorated, and on it is a nativity scene made with natural resources: palm trees, branches, and tree trunks. The branches are painted white to add detail to this beautiful nativity scene. The figures are white, and the little tree was made with wooden rectangles inscribed with words like peace, love, and respect. It's the kind of nativity scene I used to see in my childhood in the main institutions and plazas of the city. In front of the wall is a small concrete ramp and several benches, which, besides being useful for sitting, also serve as a support for the children to hold their displays. In the next photograph, you can see a tree trunk and the beginning of the mural on the large wall. Then we have the name of the urban movement written in blue and red letters, a view of the blue letters, the benches, and the branches painted white. In the following photograph, you can see the bench and the stairs leading to the wall in front of the wall. We see the benches again and the end of this large wall. Its background is black and combines red clouds with dots. Blues, purples and an orange line; in the area there is also a small garden that is starting with the well-known mother-in-law's tongue plant; next we have a view from the back of the wall, towards the road that leads to the Manzanares River and Ayacucho Park.
La pared principal es amplia y larga, en ella colocaron un mural que combina los colores rojo en varios tonos, negro azul, naranja, con varios tonos, según la información de uno de los encargados de cuidar esta pista, son letras llamativas y vinculadas con el arte urbano juvenil, las letras tienen forma un tanto curiosas que hacen del lugar un espacio llamativo, también la presencia de elementos naturales como el río y las plantas agregan un estilo fresco e ideal para la práctica de este deporte extremo.
Luego de recorrer el parque Ayacucho llegué a la zona de la rampa, inicia con un rectángulo, luego unas escaleras y la pista inicial que son unos tubos donde los chicos realizan piruetas; el ára está decorada y en ella se observa un pesebre hecho con recursos naturales, palmeras, ramas y troncos de árboles, las ramas están allí pintadas de color blanco para agregar detalles a este hermoso nacimiento, la figura son de color blanco y el arbolito fue hecho con rectángulos de madera y en ellos se leen las palabras paz, amor, respeto, entre otras, es el tipo de nacimiento que solía ver en mi infancia en las principales instituciones y plazas de la ciudad, al frente de la pared se ubica una pequeña rampa de concreto y varios bancos, que además de ser útiles para sentarse sirven también de apoyo para que los chicos realicen sus exhibiciones, en la siguiente fotografía se observa un tronco y la parte inicial del mural en la pared grande, luego tenemos el nombre del movimiento urbano escrito en letras azul y roja, una vista de las letras en color azul, los bancos y las ramas pintadas de color blanco, en la siguiente fotografía se observa el banco y las escaleras que conducen al muro ubicado al frente de la pared, vemos nuevamente los bancos y la parte final de esta amplia pared, su fondo es de color negro y combina nubes de color rojo con puntos azules, morados y línea naranja, en la zona también se observa un pequeño jardín que está comenzando con la conocida planta lengua de suegra, a continuación tenemos una vista desde la parte posterior de la pared, hacia el camino que conduce al río Manzanares y el parque Ayacucho.
Then I took a short walk along the banks of the Manzanares River. It was clean, both the walkways and the riverbank. The trees cast their shadows on this beautiful river that borders Ayacucho Park and, consequently, the skateboard park. Several walls have been built around the river to separate the walkways from the riverbank. There are also several benches along the riverbank that are frequently used in the afternoons by families who come to watch the kids at the skateboard park or simply to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset in this part of the city.
The benches are strategically placed along the walls and offer a beautiful view of the landscape and part of the city's commercial area. Next, we have a view of the new skate park with its ramps already painted and finished. New murals and the name of the city, Cumaná, have been added to the side wall of the ramp. The floor is also concrete and consists of several walkways. On one of the walls, the word "Skate" is displayed, and we have a rear view of the ramp with its respective walls and benches, where the tricks are performed. The walls are decorated with blue figures that perfectly match the lettering on the main wall and those on the side wall. Undoubtedly, a great job to beautify the area and give it a new style.
Luego realicé un pequeño recorrido por la ribera del río Manzanares, se observa limpio, tanto el área de las caminerías como la ribera, se observan también los árboles que reflejan su sombra en este hermoso río que bordea el parque Ayacucho y por ende la pista de skateboard, alrededor de él se han construido varios muros para delimitar el área caminerías y la de la ribera del río Manzanares, en este también se ubican varios bancos que son muy utilizados regularmente en las horas de la tarde, por las familias que acuden a observar a los chicos en la pista de skateboard o sencillamente a relajarse y contemplar el hermosa atardecer en esta zona de la ciudad.
Los bancos están estratégicamente ubicados en los límites de los muros y ofrecen una hermosa vista del paisaje y parte de la zona comercial de la ciudad, luego tenemos una vista de la nueva pista con sus rampas ya pintadas y terminadas, en la pared lateral de la rampa se agregaron nuevos murales y el nombre de la ciudad Cumaná, el piso es también de concreto y consta de varias caminerías, en uno de los muros se lee la Skate y tenemos una vista posterior de la rampa con sus respectivos muros y bancos, donde se ejecutan las piruetas, los muros están decorados con figuras en color azul, que combinan a la perfección con las letras de la pared principal y los ubicados en la pared lateral, sin duda un gran trabajo para embellecer el área y darle un nuevo estilo.
The new mural on the side wall of the track has the name Cumaná written in blue letters, followed by a series of murals depicting prominent buildings in the city. Among them is the Santa Inés Church, painted in yellow, showing the staircases and one of the towers. There's also a mural of the sentry boxes of San Antonio de la Eminencia Castle. The walls are yellow, and the sentry box itself is beige and black. It has a small passageway leading to the doors of the sentry box, which was used by the military of the time to watch over the city's maritime area, where pirates and privateers constantly passed in search of new territories. Then there's a mural that's one of my favorites: a boy on a bicycle doing tricks. Another shows a young woman on a skateboard performing on the ramp, and yet another depicts a boy with a skateboard and his helmet, ready to perform the sport.
Next up is a mural with various colors; I don't really know what it means, but the colors are striking. The last mural shows two hands embracing the sun under the blue sky. The new murals at this skatepark are very beautiful, and as I mentioned before, they have a fresh and youthful style that matches the activities that take place there. The painter did a great job combining figures and colors that create the perfect environment, in conjunction with nature, for skateboarding, with a spectacular view of the Manzanares River. I liked the new murals and the beautiful view of the place.
El nuevo mural en la pared lateral de la pista, tiene escrito el nombre Cumaná en letra azul, luego una serie de murales que representan destacadas construcciones de la ciudad, entre ellas la iglesia Santa Inés, en color amarillo, se observan las escaleras y una de las torres, también hay un mural de las garitas del castillo San Antonio de la Eminencia, las paredes son de color amarillo y la garita es de color beige con negro, tiene un pequeño pasadizo que conduce a las puertas de la garita, que era usada por los militares de la época, para vigilar el área marítima de la ciudad, por donde constantemente transitaban los piratas y corsarios en busca de nuevos territorios, luego un mural que es uno de mis favoritos, un chico en una bicicleta haciendo piruetas, en el otro una joven con su patineta haciendo sus exhibiciones en la rampa, el otro mural es un chico con una patineta y su respectivo casco protector, para realizar las actividades propias de este deporte.
A continuación un mural con varios colores, desconozco realmente que significado tiene, pero sus colores son llamativos y el último mural son dos manos abrazando el sol bajo el azul del cielo, los nuevos murales de esta pista son muy bonitos y como lo mencioné anteriormente, tienen un estilo fresco y juvenil acorde con las actividades que allí se realizan, el pintor hizo un gran trabajo combinando figuras y colores que crean el entorno perfecto en combinación con la naturaleza para el desarrollo del skateboard con una espectacular vista al río Manzanares, me gustaron los nuevos murales y la hermosa vista del lugar.
