Let's Take a Glimpse into the Luxurious Underground Space of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque // Part 3
2017 was a very important year for the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, where the mosque underwent a major renovation so that the mosque became more charming and kept the beauty in terms of its design, one of the things that attracted attention from the renovation was the inauguration of the basement with an area of 8,600 square meters and inside it is a place for ablution for visitors, toilets, and a parking lot with 14 blocks.

In this blog, I want to share some more images of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, located in the center of Banda Aceh. In this blog, we will focus on the basement of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, which also serves as a place for ablutions, toilets, and parking.
Well, my friends, keep following my blog to get a glimpse of the basement, with some images that I will share later.
This underground space is part of the mosque's landscape and infrastructure development project, which underwent extensive renovations in 2017. It is now a popular destination for visitors to enjoy the opulence of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque.
As you explore the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, you'll encounter small buildings above, which lead to interconnected underground spaces.
Next, I started to enter one of the small buildings which was the path to the basement of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque which was connected to one another.
Upon entering the building leading to the mosque's basement, I was immediately captivated by the marble floors sourced from Italy and Spain. Furthermore, escalators on each staircase, both on the right and left, lead to the plaza, further pampering visitors and making them feel at home in this mosque, the pride of the Acehnese people.

The next thing that impressed me and made me feel at home in this basement is its undeniable cleanliness. Some visitors have made it a must-see photo spot while in this mosque, the pride of the Acehnese people.
As I mentioned above, this basement contains various other facilities, including an ablution area, restrooms, facilities for the disabled, shoe storage for men and women, and, most importantly, underground parking for visitors staying overnight at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque.
Since we went to this basement primarily to find an ablution area, we followed the signs. Given the expansiveness of the basement, there are numerous signs indicating the facilities visitors are looking for. Personally, I find this kind of information very helpful in locating public facilities while inside the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque.
After following the signs, we easily found the ablution area, and there was also a restroom nearby.
