Enjoying the Tranquility of Indonesia's Western Tip // The Charm of Iboih Beach

If you're vacationing on Weh Island and looking for a place that offers pristine yet stunning views, I think Iboih Beach is the right choice. This isn't just a beach with music and crowds; it teaches us to slow down and enjoy the atmosphere.

Welcome to the westernmost tip of Indonesia, and in this blog, I'll share some images of this place, specifically the Iboih Beach tourist destination area.

While on vacation in Iboih Tourism Village, I didn't miss visiting several tourist destinations within the village, one of which is Iboih Beach, which offers pristine and stunning views.

The above are some pictures I took showing the entrance gate to Iboih Beach. Once I see this gate, I'm already inside the Iboih Beach tourist area. There, I'll find several information boards and simple stalls on both sides of the road. Before entering, you must first purchase an entrance ticket for IDR 10,000, equivalent to approximately 11 HIVE (current price).

As soon as I passed through the gate, I was immediately greeted by the pristine scenery surrounding Iboih Beach. Here, I had a 360-degree view. Every angle I turned, whether left or right, was beautiful, adorned with hills and beaches.

Iboih Beach is renowned for its underwater beauty, and it's often a popular choice for snorkeling while on vacation on Weh Island. If you're in the area, you'll find several inns and simple places offering snorkeling services, which are quite affordable for the Indonesian economy. However, the views are well worth it, as snorkeling on Weh Island offers a truly unique experience. This is because the underwater world of Iboih Beach is among the most beautiful in Indonesia.

This beach is one of the most famous on Weh Island, making it more crowded than other beaches on the island. Despite the crowds, the serenity it offers remains untouched, and the pristine scenery can still be enjoyed within the area.

These are some photos I took after descending the slight incline in front of the gate. We then decided to continue our journey to a quieter spot for a more captivating sense of serenity, and of course, the natural scenery.

In the beach area we will see several other roads that lead to simple stalls as well as accommodations in the Iboh beach area and this road is also very amazing for me personally because we will find shady roads in this area which provide a sense of calm, especially the roads in this beach area have been paved smoothly so that we can really feel the atmosphere of a tourist village in the Iboih beach area.

Then I stopped at a point where I saw a stunning view of Iboih Beach.

These are some pictures I took at Iboih Beach, which offers pristine natural beauty. From this beach, we can cross to the small island next door, Rubiah Island. This island offers the best snorkeling experience on Weh Island, with its coral reefs a feast for the eyes. However, we must first rent a boat to reach the island.

After only a few meters of walking, I again encountered a stunning view. In this area, I saw the sea, like a giant pool, calm and without large waves. This made me realize why Iboih is a paradise for snorkelers and divers.
The hills on either side seem to embrace the bay. Naturally, there are no tall buildings, so I can say once again that Iboih Beach offers pristine scenery.
