Blang Padang Field // Historical and Recreational Tourism Destination in Banda Aceh City

Blang Padang is a green open space tourist destination that must be visited when we are in Banda Aceh City. This 8 hectare field is located in Kampung Baru, Baiturrahman District, presenting a green view with a wide expanse of grass in the middle of the city and not only presents the beauty and coolness of nature but also becomes a silent witness to various important events in the history of Aceh.

Good evening, my friends, wherever you are. I hope you are all healthy and happy so you can go about your daily activities as usual. I hope you all have a pleasant day.

In this blog, I want to share some images showing the Blang Padang field area, a green open space destination in the center of Banda Aceh, known for its beautiful and cool natural surroundings and as a silent witness to various important events in Acehnese history.

So, please continue to follow my blog to see some of the images I took while in the area, as well as short articles from me.

After taking a closer look at the replica monument of the first Seulawah aircraft, RI-001, we began exploring the Blang Padang field, a green open space located in the center of Banda Aceh.

In my previous blog post, when I shared about the replica monument of the RI-001 aircraft, the monument was also located within the Blang Padang field area.

These are some images of the jogging path on Blang Padang field, typically used in the morning and evening.
Along the path, we'll be adorned with replica flags of foreign countries that helped rebuild Aceh after the tsunami devastated my region, including Brunei Darussalam.

This area is also a hub of community activity. Every weekend, the field is bustling with various communities, and various festivals, exhibitions, and economic and culinary events are often held here. This makes Blang Padang an attractive place to gather and relax for local residents and out-of-town tourists alike.

Here are some images showing the main stands located on the field.

My friends...
Besides being a field for playing soccer, this green open space also features a well-maintained running track, basketball court, and volleyball court.

Therefore, I can say that Blang Padang Field is the perfect combination of history, sports, and recreation.

How could it not be, considering that various festivals and exhibitions are frequently held in this area? Furthermore, during the midday heat of Banda Aceh, when the sun is scorching, local residents can enjoy the refreshing atmosphere of Blang Padang Field under the shade of the trees.

Regarding history, Blang Padang Field is home to several monuments, one of which is the Aceh Tsunami Monument, built to commemorate the devastating event that struck Aceh in 2004.

Also within the Blang Padang Field area is a replica monument of the Seulawah RI-001 aircraft, which I shared in a previous blog post.

As I said above, this monument was built to commemorate the tsunami that hit Aceh in 2014 and it is also clearly written there that this monument was inaugurated on March 1, 2004 by the commander of the Iskandar Muda Military Command.

If you're feeling hungry after exploring the Blang Padang field, you'll find a wide variety of culinary delights.
From Acehnese coffee and Acehnese noodles to meatballs and various other dishes, you can enjoy them in this area under the shade of the trees.
Visitors can relax under the shade while enjoying traditional Acehnese food sold by street vendors in the green open area of โ€‹โ€‹Blang Padang field.

Therefore, I can say that Blang Padang field is the perfect combination of history, sports, and recreation.

Well, my friends, those are some of the images I'm sharing this time about Blang Padang field, which I explored a few days ago during my trip to Banda Aceh.

I hope you all enjoyed and enjoyed what I've shared. I also extend my sincere thanks to all of you who took the time to view and read my blog to the end.

Please leave your comments, support, and input, which means a lot to me so I can make this blog even better in the future.

That's all for now.
Greetings everyone.
See you on my next blog.
