Good evening, my friends, wherever you are. I hope you are all healthy and happy, allowing you to carry out your daily activities as usual. I hope you all have a pleasant day.
In this blog, I want to invite you to take a closer look at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, an icon of Aceh Province, located in the center of Banda Aceh.
So, I hope you will continue to follow my blog to get a closer look at this place through the images I share, as well as short articles from me.

The Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, located in the center of Banda Aceh, has become an icon of my province, Aceh.
My friends...
On my tour of Banda Aceh a few days ago, I stopped to see the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque. A visit to Banda Aceh wouldn't be complete without a stop. This mosque has become an icon of Aceh province, and it's also a historic site dating back to the golden era of the Aceh Sultanate. It has survived to this day and has also been a silent witness to the tsunami that devastated the region.
Upon my first arrival at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, I immediately parked my motorcycle in the well-maintained and well-managed parking lot. The gates are located at different corners. This is the gate I used to enter the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque Garden area. I chose this gate over the others; it's a relatively quiet entrance for visitors.

Upon entering the gates of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, the main tower immediately greeted me, standing quite majestic and with its interesting architecture.
My friend...
Visitors can climb the main tower of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque to the top and enjoy views of Banda Aceh. Unfortunately, I visited in the morning, so the doors to the main tower weren't yet open. Normally, the main tower is open and accessible for visitors to climb to the top and enjoy views of Banda Aceh in the evening, just before sunset.

And in the garden area of this mosque there are also lighting lights that have been made as aesthetic as possible, so with this I also think the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is very interesting to visit and at the same time makes us comfortable to worship with views that make our eyes amazed especially at night, because colorful lights will decorate the garden area of the mosque.

In the mosque area, I also saw numerous banners stating prohibitions on things to do inside, one of which was to maintain cleanliness. Personally, this is normal, as this is a place of worship, and trash cans are provided everywhere, making maintaining cleanliness a relatively simple task for visitors.
Furthermore, numerous other prohibitions are also listed on the banners within the mosque area.

From the garden of this mosque, I can already see the magnificent Baiturrahman Grand Mosque.
My friend...
The Baiturrahman Grand Mosque was first built during the Aceh Sultanate era. Its roof was designed in keeping with the typical four-tiered pyramidal roof of Indonesian mosques of that era. During its history, the mosque was razed to the ground by the Dutch during the invasion of Banda Aceh during World War II. Furthermore, it was a silent witness to the 2004 Aceh tsunami, which devastated my beloved province. Post-tsunami renovations cost 20 billion rupiah, funded by international aid. Today, the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque serves as a center for Islamic activities for the people of Banda Aceh.

The mosque grounds are vast and the facilities are very complete. The main attractions that visitors explore are the gardens, the majestic main mosque, and finally, the underground cleansing area. In this blog, I will focus first on the gardens, where the Main Tower is a favorite among visitors.
My friends...
Those are some of the images from my visit to the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque. The first thing I explored was the gardens. This mosque has an extraordinary history. It was razed to the ground by the Dutch during World War II, and it also witnessed the 2004 tsunami. It has become an icon of Aceh Province.
Thank you very much to all of you who have taken the time to view and read my blog to the end.
