Parque Norte: Piscina y relax / North Park: Swimming pool and relaxation
Época de calor en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, el verano ya va marcando sus últimas semanas para finalizar, pero antes de que esto ocurra, junto a mi familia nos fuimos a dar un chapuzón, disfrutar un día relajado, olvidarnos de todo y pasar un rato agradable, para ello decidimos ir a una de las piscinas más grandes que tiene la ciudad, ubicada en Parque Norte, un complejo de muchas áreas verdes, canchas deportivas, restaurantes y la diversión acuática.
It's hot season in Buenos Aires, and summer is coming to an end. but before that happens, my family and I went for a swim to enjoy a relaxing day, forget about everything, and have a good time. We decided to go to one of the largest pools in the city, located in Parque Norte, a complex with lots of green areas, sports fields, restaurants, and water fun.
Llegamos temprano, la idea era aprovechar lo máximo del día, ya las a las 9:00 de la mañana estábamos entrando directo a pagar, el costo por persona es un poquito alto, pero vale la pena. Una acotación importante que lo diferencia de otros lugares, es que, para el ingreso a las piscinas, tienes que pasar por una inspección sanitaria. Los hombres y mujeres se separan y entran a los vestuarios correspondientes donde están los inspectores, la cual debes presentarte en traje de baño y examinan tus pies, dedos, cabeza, a fin de evitar el ingreso de personas con hongos o piojos, una vez aprobado te dan un carnet con una vigencia de 30 días. Realmente es incómodo y raro, pero a la vez te sientes un poco seguro, que por lo menos hay control higiénico.
We arrived early, the idea was to make the most of the day, and at 9:00 in the morning we were already going straight in to pay. The cost per person is a little high, but it's worth it. An important note that sets it apart from other places is that, in order to enter the pools, you have to go through a health inspection. Men and women are separated and enter the corresponding changing rooms where the inspectors are located. You must show up in your swimsuit, and they examine your feet, fingers, and head to prevent people with fungus or lice from entering. Once approved, they give you a card that is valid for 30 days. It's really uncomfortable and strange, but at the same time, you feel a little safer knowing that at least there are hygiene controls in place.
Una vez ya con nuestro permiso aprobado, entramos al área, donde validaron el permiso y ahora sí, listos para elegir el lugar donde colocar nuestras cosas. Inmediatamente que ingresas están los kioscos con las sillas y reposeras para alquilar, solo tomamos una reposera, ya que trajimos una manta para colocarla en el césped y así no pagar más de lo debido, de todas maneras, es más cómodo y hasta mi esposo tomó una pequeña siesta.
Once our permit was approved, we entered the area, where they validated the permit, and now we were ready to choose where to put our things. As soon as you enter, there are kiosks with chairs and deck chairs for rent. We only took a deck chair, since we brought a blanket to put on the grass so we wouldn't have to pay more than necessary. In any case, it's more comfortable, and even my husband took a little nap.
Como podrán observar, la piscina estaba casi solita, como nos encanta, eso es lo bueno de llegar temprano. El sitio esta conformado por 5 piscinas: piscina norte, piscina sur, piscina centro, piscina para niños y piscina la mansa, una variedad increíble para elegir de acuerdo al gusto y necesidades de cada familia. Nosotros nos ubicamos en la piscina norte, aunque sinceramente, en cualquiera las comodidades están dadas para pasarla excelente.
As you can see, the pool was almost empty, which is how we like it—that's the advantage of arriving early. The site has five pools: north pool, south pool, center pool, children's pool, and La Mansa pool, offering an incredible variety to choose from according to each family's tastes and needs. We settled on the north pool, although honestly, any of them offer everything you need to have a great time.
Un dato importante, el parque permite el ingreso de comida y bebidas, por supuesto, que estas no sean alcohólicas, eso ayuda mucho a que los gastos de este paseo no sean tan costosos.
An important detail: the park allows visitors to bring in food and drinks, as long as they are non-alcoholic, which helps keep the cost of this outing down.
El parque está ubicado cerca de uno de los principales aeropuertos de la ciudad, por lo que otra atracción es el espectáculo de estas enormes aeronaves sobrevolar cada 15 minutos sobre nosotros. Da impresión verlos, pero ya cuando tenemos muchísimo rato, ya forman parte del parque.
The park is located near one of the city's main airports, so another attraction is the spectacle of these huge aircraft flying overhead every 15 minutes. It's impressive to see them, but after a while, they become part of the park.
Fue un día hermoso, el sol en su mayor esplendor, el agua divina, las personas muy alegres respetando el espacio de cada quien, la cual forma parte importante a la hora de disfrutar un área en común sin ningún tipo de inconvenientes. En definitiva, nos encantó, ya habíamos venido en otra oportunidad hace algunos años y bueno esta vez sí pude compartirlo con todos ustedes.
It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining brightly, the water was divine, and everyone was cheerful and respectful of each other's space, which is important when enjoying a shared area without any inconveniences. In short, we loved it. We had already been here a few years ago, and this time I was able to share it with all of you.
