Good morning, dear travelers. Today I want to share a lovely outing I took with my family to one of the largest and most comprehensive parks in the city of Buenos Aires. I say comprehensive because it not only has nature and a playground, but also a natural science museum that invites you to learn a little more about the species that live or lived in Argentina. It was a day full of fun and new discoveries.

Welcome to Centenario Park, a park located on a roundabout covering approximately 12 hectares and forming part of the Caballito neighborhood. This park is ideal for family visits, as it has plenty of green areas for picnics and an artificial island, which is the main gathering place for visitors.

This island is surrounded by a charming lake full of fish and beautiful geese that enliven the view and your stay in the park.

After walking and enjoying some time in nature, we decided to visit the Bernardino Rivadavia Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences, an impressive place full of exhibits of marine and terrestrial species, as well as a wide variety of rock formations. I particularly love these kinds of places, and whenever we have the opportunity, we like to learn a little more about the life and formation of large and small animal species.

The intention was to take a tour with a guide who would explain everything to us, but by the time we arrived, the last group had already entered, so we had to explore the place on our own. It should be noted that admission to the site is not free, but the price is quite affordable.

After passing through the ticket office, it is up to us to start with whichever exhibition hall we want, so right in front is the geological sciences hall, where we could see a collection of rocks and precious stones placed in display cases for protection, many of them brought from the interior of the country. You are even greeted by a fragment of a meteorite called El Toba, discovered in 1923 in an area called Campo de Cielo, between the provinces of Santiago del Estero and Chaco.

We continued on to the maritime hall, and at first glance, it was impressive to see how well it was set up, with each species located with its respective description. At the beginning of the exhibition, we found an exhibition of a deep-sea expedition carried out in Argentina last year by Conicet, an organization dedicated to scientific and technological research. Here, impressive species were found, including the famous starfish alluding to the children's series SpongeBob SquarePants, the popular Patrick.

We were able to observe several species of real fish, stuffed and displayed in glass cases, while others were prepared for demonstration purposes to make the experience more realistic. For some specimens, screens were placed showing them in their natural habitat along with their characteristics.

Now we went to the depths of the sea, where we were amazed by majestic manta rays, sharks, and whales, detailing every part of their anatomy and impressive size.

The birds are another attraction of the museum. I didn't think there was so much diversity, allowing us to discover the different types of birds, from flying birds to running birds and water birds, among others. The quality of the animals, for the most part, is so realistic that it is impossible not to examine them in detail.

To learn more about the insects, there is an interactive display in which they are placed in transparent, closed containers that rotate, with all the characteristics of each species described on the back. Very interesting, but also a little creepy for those of us who don't like to be around these little creatures.

The photographs do not convey how realistic these animal figures are, each one better than the last. I think this is the museum's intention, to allow us to feel that connection with nature through our senses and become part of it.

We conclude this wonderful tour with the fossil exhibition hall, featuring both dinosaur fossils and other species that still exist today. It is important to note that some parts were made with real fossils and others with artificial ones, so please do not touch them.

This trip was very rewarding for our family, especially for my daughter's education and for us as adults. We loved it, and I hope you enjoyed it too.
