Hello friends, good evening everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Lately, my boyfriend and I have been going through some difficult times, especially with the loss of his mother. So, we decided to go out and explore nature whenever we could. Last week, we went to the beach with some friends and were taking some time to relax when my boyfriend suggested going to the Punta Ballena lighthouse, since we'd never been before. We were quite close, so we decided to go. The climb up is absolutely beautiful, with a spectacular ocean view. The lighthouse is located near Pampatar, up in the hills. Having lived our whole lives in Margarita, we realized we have so much more to explore and discover.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the maritime guard who explained the route. When we went to the galley fort, it was necessary to pay a small fee to enter. But here at the lighthouse, there wasn't. As soon as we entered, it was impossible not to be captivated by the wonderful view of the Pampatar salt flats. The colors are truly beautiful. Once inside the lighthouse, there are many stairs to climb, and the first thing we found was a very nice little museum (I forgot to take pictures). Then, as we continued climbing, we found several balconies which offered views of the Pampatar salt flats and different areas of the sea. The breeze was very strong and made it difficult to take photos, but I managed to get a few.

I love gaining experience and getting to know my beautiful island, where I was fortunate enough to be born, a little better. Although my family is from Táchira, they fell in love with Margarita when they arrived and stayed. I am very lucky to live surrounded by the sea and beauty. We also took advantage of the opportunity to eat some delicious empanadas on the beach. This time we were at the Concorde. I ordered one called "Marine Explosion," which cost $3, and I don't regret it at all. It was delicious; it had fish, shrimp, clams, and snails. We also ordered some fresh oysters, just out of the sea, with plenty of lemon. Although we have gone through a lot of pain, we decided to start living life a little more, and I hope to continue collecting moments and sharing them with you. Living on Margarita Island is a blessing, and getting to know its places is an unforgettable experience.
