[ENG/ESP] Wednesday tour at Parguito Beach.
Hello, dear friends of #wednesdaywalk. Here I am again with you, as I am every Wednesday, to share another one of my walks thanks to our friend @tattoodjay , who has created this beautiful space where we can showcase our walks from every corner of the world. That’s what I love most: the chance to travel through the eyes of others, while they also get to enjoy a little taste of what we experience.
I’ll tell you that things have been pretty busy on Margarita Island these days due to the Holy Week celebrations. There are tourists everywhere, and although I work every day, this walk was a little breather for my mind and body. Sometimes you don’t realize how much you need a break until you take one.
My husband and I left around 9:30 in the morning, taking advantage of the fact that I didn’t have to work that day. We wanted to enjoy the tranquility of the early hours, when the tourists are still resting and the beach retains that gentle silence that only the sea can offer. Our destination was Parguito Beach, a place that always welcomes us with its cool breeze and that sense of relaxation that envelops you the moment you arrive.

Aquí estoy nuevamente con ustedes, como cada miércoles, para compartir otro de mis paseos gracias a nuestro amigo @tattoodjay, quien ha creado este hermoso espacio donde podemos mostrar nuestros recorridos desde cualquier rincón del mundo. Eso es lo que más me gusta; la posibilidad de viajar a través de los ojos de otros, mientras ellos también disfrutan un pedacito de lo que vivimos nosotros.
Les cuento que en Isla Margarita estos días han estado bastante movidos por la celebración de Semana Santa. Hay turistas por todas partes, y aunque yo trabajo todos los días, este paseo fue un pequeño respiro para mi mente y mi cuerpo. A veces uno no se da cuenta de cuánto necesita una pausa hasta que la toma.
Mi esposo y yo salimos cerca de las 9:30 de la mañana, aprovechando que ese día no debía trabajar. Queríamos disfrutar la tranquilidad de las primeras horas, cuando los turistas aún descansan y la playa conserva ese silencio suave que solo el mar sabe regalar. Nuestro destino fue Playa Parguito, un lugar que siempre nos recibe con su brisa fresca y esa sensación de relajación que te envuelve apenas llegas.
Parguito has tons of restaurants, each offering something different to suit every taste. That’s why it’s always worth taking a stroll there—because in addition to enjoying the beach, you can discover new flavors and hidden gems.
Parguito tiene muchísimos restaurantes, cada uno con propuestas distintas para todos los gustos. Por eso siempre vale la pena darse un paseo por allí, porque además de disfrutar la playa, uno puede descubrir nuevos sabores y rincones.
In recent months, several venues have opened as beach clubs; some offer massages, others rent jet skis, and there are also places where you can rent surfboards. The beach feels alive, full of options for those seeking adventure or simply relaxation.
At the end of the beach, there’s a very special area where turtles often come to nest. Their nests are protected and well cared for, especially at this time of year when there’s so much activity. My husband and I, since we were on the motorcycle, decided to go a little past the nesting area. We sat there for a while, enjoying the sound of the sea, when suddenly a pelican arrived and decided to pose in front of my phone as if it knew I wanted to photograph it. It was a beautiful moment, one of those that nature gives you without asking for anything in return.
En los últimos meses han abierto varios espacios convertidos en clubes de playa; algunos ofrecen masajes, otros alquilan motos acuáticas, y también hay lugares donde puedes rentar tablas para surfear. La playa se siente viva, llena de opciones para quienes buscan aventura o simplemente descanso.
Al final de la playa hay un área muy especial donde suelen llegar las tortugas a anidar. Sus nidos están protegidos y bien cuidados, sobre todo en estas fechas donde hay tanto movimiento. Mi esposo y yo, como andábamos en la moto, decidimos ir un poco más allá de la zona de los nidos. Allí nos sentamos un rato, disfrutando del sonido del mar, cuando de pronto un pelícano llegó y decidió posar frente a mi teléfono como si supiera que quería fotografiarlo. Fue un momento hermoso, de esos que la naturaleza te regala sin pedir nada a cambio.
From where we were standing, we could also see the Cimarrón Condominium getting ready for its weekly activities. And on the other side, the hills that are so characteristic of Margarita, reminding us that this island is a perfect blend of sea and mountains.
Desde donde estábamos también podíamos ver cómo el Condominio Cimarrón preparaba sus actividades de la semana. Y del otro lado, los cerros que tanto identifican a Margarita, recordándonos que esta isla es una mezcla perfecta entre mar y montaña.
After breathing in the fresh air and soaking up that special energy, we decided to head back because the sun was already starting to beat down hard. I’ll tell you, getting in was easy, but getting out wasn’t so simple; the sand wouldn’t let the motorcycle move forward properly, so I had to get off and let my husband go ahead. But far from bothering me, I took it as part of the experience. Walking toward the exit gave me a chance to take photos of the signs for the restaurants and shops offering services on the beach, and that was a little bonus, too.
Después de respirar aire fresco y llenarnos de esa energía tan especial, decidimos regresar porque el sol ya comenzaba a picar fuerte. Les cuento que entrar fue fácil, pero salir no tanto; la arena no dejaba que la moto avanzara bien, así que tuve que bajarme y dejar que mi esposo siguiera adelante. Pero lejos de molestarme, lo tomé como parte del momento. Caminar hacia la salida me permitió tomar fotos de los carteles de los restaurantes y locales que ofrecen servicios en la playa, y eso también fue un pequeño regalo.
The truth is, we had a really nice time—simple, but full of life. And once again, we realized that these are the moments that truly make up life; the ones that seem small, but stay deeply etched in our hearts.

Such a perfect place to visit id you want to unwind or take a breather. I suddenly want to go to the nearest beach in our home ✨🔥💃. Cool you found the time to do this and have a relaxing time. Its hot but not enough reason to have good time there right 🌟✨
I totally agree with you. There are places that seem to have an invisible pause button, and Parguito is one of them. All it takes is a walk, a gentle breeze, and the sound of the sea for your body to remember what it’s like to breathe without rushing.
And hey… if you’ve suddenly felt the urge to head to your nearest beach, that’s already a beautiful sign. Sometimes the soul just needs sand between its toes to reignite.
The heat is there, yes, but when you go with the intention of enjoying yourself, it becomes more of a warm embrace than an obstacle. Hopefully, you’ll soon be able to give yourself that break your body and spirit are asking for.🌹🌷🌺💐🏵️🪷🌻🌼🥀💮🪻🌸🍀
Yes this is real, like in our head or maybe heart too, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery that will surely make us feel good. I am also hoping for that. But going there now can be costly, with the price of gas continuously rising 🫠🫠. But hopefully, I can still do that too, sooooon

That was a wonderful walk. The images of the sights at the beach are beautiful. How you took time to notice all of these other things on the beach was good observation skills.

That morning, everything was so calm, as if the sea wanted to tell us something in a soft whisper.
