Greetings, wonderful community. Here I am, as I am every Wednesday, to share my day with you and participate once again in @tattoodjay wonderful initiative, which has become a constant source of motivation for me. Every week I look forward to this moment, because it allows me to share a little piece of my routine, my surroundings, and those small experiences that make life more enjoyable.
Today we had to stick to our work routine—one we’d had to postpone because an important meeting came up the day before. It was a meeting we couldn’t miss, as it would secure future projects and open up new opportunities for our family business. With that peace of mind, we left home early to carry out our chlorination and disinfection routine at the Sunsol Unik Hotel and the Parque Costa Azul shopping center.
As always, we brought enough water to stay hydrated during the trip. The heat on the island has been particularly intense for the past two days—the kind you feel from sunrise onward and that forces you to stay on top of your hydration. Even so, the scenery remains beautiful: the clear sky, the mountains with their distinctive glow, and that warm air which, though stifling, is also part of island life.
Saludos hermosa comunidad.

Luis couldn’t work that day because he’d just had a tooth pulled, so he needed to rest. Our son decided to join us, and that made us very happy. He knows when we need him, and even though his work has always been more office-based—budgets, accounting, digital organization—he wanted to support us “in the field,” as we like to say. For him, it was a different kind of experience, and for us, it was a gesture we deeply appreciated.

Our first stop was the Sunsol Unik Hotel. We went inside, went through our routine, and everything went smoothly. That always gives us peace of mind, because we know we’re fulfilling our responsibilities with dedication and consistency.

When we were done, we headed to the Parque Costa Azul shopping center, where we carried out the necessary disinfection and chlorination. Everything went smoothly there as well. Our son was impressed to see how the fieldwork is done, since he isn’t used to accompanying us on these assignments; seeing him there, watching, asking questions, and lending a hand, filled us with pride.

By the time we finished, it was already close to 1:00 p.m., and I hadn’t brought my lunch. We decided to take a stroll through La Asunción, which always charms us with its picturesque atmosphere, quiet streets, and those little corners full of murals and history. We looked for a place to eat, but nothing really appealed to us. So we continued our walk until we finally stopped at Nela’s restaurant on 31 de Julio Avenue.

There, we ordered a cachapa called “La Sinvergüenza.” The name made us laugh, and for good reason—it’s a generous cachapa, loaded with cheese and fried pork. We paired it with a delicious, cold, thick cocada, perfect for the heat of the day. They say the best thing about this place is the soups, but since we’re not big fans of soups, we preferred the cachapa, which was really good.

With our stomachs full and our hearts happy from having shared moments of work and family, we headed home. It was a productive, warm day, full of those little touches that make every trip special.
I’ll see you next Wednesday to tell you about some of my other trips and a little more about our day-to-day lives.
See you soon.
Bye.
Chao.
