Following the taste of 'lassi' through the labyrinth of Varanasi..

Varanasi is a place where there is always something for everyone. Whosoever visit the places does not leave the place empty handed. Visitors are drawn to the peaceful sunrise boat rides, mesmerizing evening Aarti, historic ghats, and spiritual seekers, finding it a unique, bucket-list experience. Varanasi, is known as the spiritual capital of India," for its profound, raw, and transformative atmosphere, where ancient traditions, intense devotion, and the cycle of life and death coexist on the banks of the Ganges. While roaming around the city i learned that the place belongs to every common man. Rather looking for any specialty just go with the rhythm and enjoy every bits ad pieces that you ponder on the way. If you lookout for some special treatment, the it going to be a costlier affair. This is a hard learned when I looked out for famous Lassi on the street of Varanasi.

Lassi is a popular beverages in Varanasi due to its refreshing, thick, and creamy nature often served in eco-friendly kulhads (clay cups) which add an earthy flavor. Lassi is a traditional Indian yogurt based drink made by blending yogurt (curd) with water or milk, ice, and sweeteners. There are many popular lassi sellers shop across both side of the street. But my mistake I asked the local people about the most famous one in Varanasi and everyone directed me to Blue Lassi shop. After spending time at the Ganges ghats and watching people devotion I moved looking for Blue Lassi shop.

Blue Lassi shop is situated in a bylines of Varanasi. It is always advisable to explore Varanasi on your foot. It is one of the oldest city and you can find many glimpse of it. I took the help of local people to trace the blue lassi shop which happens to be situated in one of the congested by lanes. It was interesting to pass through such lanes. Quite i trigging to know more about the old architecture and murals and other things. I think actual Varanasi lived in those lanes.

After a good walk for almost 1.4 KM. I reached to the shop and honestly surprised to find the rush at the shop. There were many people gathered to take their glass of lassi. While the shop owner was busy in making lassi. They have plenty of option to choose from and each of them cost Rs.120. It was quite crowded and very difficult to take a picture. I managed to click this while ordering my glass of lassi.

It was good in taste but quite incredible to see the rush at the shop in the narrow lanes of Varanasi. The shop is located in route to Manikarnika ghat and always find a lot of rush. Anyway it was worth finding a chilled glass of lassi. But as far as the taste, the same can be found in any common shop around the street. I did not find anything so special. May be the name and fame got them more attention.
