Finding my inner peace in the chaos of floating Boats at river Ganga. [Varanasi vibes]

Varanasi (previously Banaras) is considered to be one of the world's oldest living cities. The place is a unique center of spirituality, culture, and history. People from all part of the world visit the place and feel the heart beat of this ancient cities. The city is unique in many aspects. People whosoever visit the city, always like to enjoy the Boat ride. One of the popular activities to enjoy in the city. I have been to such boat ride many a time, but on my last visit I sat alone on the shore watching the boat activities from a distance.

Tourists visiting Varanasi enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges River, which is the best way to see the 84 ghats during the morning aarti or the evening Ganga aarti. But the boat activities keeps going round the clock. After visiting the Kashi Viswanath temple and craving on the local delicacies, I went to the ghats. I wanted to be spend some lonely times and the Ganga Ghats was the best place to be. There were few people selling some snacks and some items. But seeing their ages I feel pity. At the age, when they need some rest, they were working on the footsteps of the Ganga Ghats to earn their livelihood.

As I sat alone on one of the stairs, I noticed a number of boat floating on the river water. Riding on a boat allows visitors to see the entire,, unbroken line of ghats (riverfront steps) and temples, which is not possible from walking on land. Also it offer a unique, panoramic, and serene perspective of the city. It is enjoyable experience for the visitors, it is one of the major source of income for the localities. I was enjoying how rush of people were keen to board the boat and many try to get down after their ride.

Most of these boats runs on the motor. There is more than operator to navigate the boat. While going into water is risky considering the depth in middle of the river, a patrolling vehicle is always their to raise alarm in any kid of mishappening. The river is crowded with number of Boats. While sitting and observing the scene at the place I took multiple pi tires and it remain a glossary of many of the fond moments of time spent on Varanasi.

Sitting alone on the Varanasi ghats offers a deeply spiritual and grounding experience. Even though I was alone but very deeply occupied with multiple thoughts on the things happening in my life. Varanasi is generally safe for traveler allowing them to sit for hours, read, or watch the, world go by, feeling both connected to the surroundings and comfortably alone. It was some wonderful moment I spent their watching those boats and life as it flows.
