Here I am again walking after a break. We were on the road in the car, the sun in June was really hot. 33-34 degrees Celsius. And we were looking for shade, somewhere to sit and rest. We were passing through a place called Beška. And we stopped at a park. which seemed to us to be really great for rest and respite.

The park is located right across the street from the kindergarten.Tall trees with large crowns provide plenty of shade.

On one side, a kind of gym has been arranged, with exercise equipment.

On the other side is a children's playground with swings, seesaws and a slide.
My son immediately went down the slide, and there were other children in the park.

Walking through the park, I noticed that in the central part of the park there was a bust.

When you approach that bust, there is a board with an explanation.

It is a bust of Danica Jovanović, who was born here in Beška. She is a Serbian painter who belonged to the generation of Serbian modernists, who began their art education at the beginning of the 20th century. She was born on January 4, 1886.
She completed three-grade elementary school in Beška in 1895.
Continued her education at the Higher Serbian Girls' School in Novi Sad (1903-1907)
She enrolled in the Art and Craft School at the Art and Craft School in Belgrade
Continued her education in Munich at the Women's Painting Academy (1909 — 1914). At the end of March 1914, Danica graduated from the academy and became an "academic painter" with the right to work as a "teacher of drawing and painting".At the moment when her life was violently cut short, by execution in the Petrovaradin Fortress at the beginning of World War I.She had returned from Munich on August 3, 1914.
She was arrested on September 10, 1914 and two days later summarily executed with five other local hostages.

We enjoyed the rest and the short walk.

This is my contribution for the #wednesdaywalk challenge from @tattoodjay

Until next time.
