Wednesday Walk - Strolling through the streets of a city full of art, discovering it step by step. / Paseando por las calles de una ciudad llena de arte, descubriéndola a cada paso. 😃❤️

If there’s one thing I never got tired of doing on my last trip, it was going out for walks. Exploring new and beautiful places is something that fills my soul, and luckily, during my journey through the Northeast of Argentina, I got plenty of that. When I finally arrived in Corrientes to meet up with Gabi and Luis, friends from Hive, I was eager to go explore the city and see what it was like. Fortunately, it was even more beautiful than I had imagined, and I had the privilege of exploring it with two great local guides ❤️.

Si hay algo que no me cansé de hacer en mi último viaje, fue salir a caminar. Recorrer lugares nuevos y hermosos es algo que me llena el alma, y por suerte, durante mi paseo por el Noreste de Argentina pude tener mucho de esto. Cuando finalmente llegué a Corrientes para encontrarme con Gabi y Luis, unos amigos de Hive, estaba ansiosa por ir a recorrer la ciudad y ver cómo sería. Por suerte, era más hermosa de lo que pensaba, y tuve el privilegio de ir con dos grandes guías locales ❤️.

During the days I spent visiting the city of Corrientes, Gabi and Luis were very kind to accompany me on some outings. From their home, we had to take a bus to the city center, and in just a few minutes we arrived. That day marked the beginning of a walk that took us through several of the most beautiful spots in the city, with its traditional buildings and murals, as well as the must-see square with historic buildings all around it.

Durante los días que estuve visitando la ciudad de Corrientes, Gabi y Luis fueron muy amables acompañándome a pasear un poco. Desde su casa, debíamos tomar un bus hasta el centro de la ciudad, y en pocos minutos llegábamos. Ese día empezó la caminata que nos hizo recorrer varios de los puntos más lindos de la ciudad, con sus edificios y murales tradicionales, además de la infaltable plaza con los edificios históricos alrededor.

One of the things I liked the most about this city was how decorated it was. In many corners, there were murals in a similar style, with warm colors and textures that gave it a unique identity. During our walk, we visited several of them adorning different spots, but the city is full of the marks left by the artists who created them. According to the internet, there are more than 400 of these murals in the city—amazing.

Una de las cuestiones que más me gustó de esta ciudad era lo decoraba que estaba. En un montón de rincones de la ciudad habían murales con estilo similar, en colores cálidos y relieves que le daban identidad propia. Durante nuestro recorrido, visitamos varios de ellos adornando distintos puntos, pero la ciudad esta llena de las huellas de los artistas que los hicieron. Según internet, en la ciudad hay más de 400 de estos murales, increíble.

Another interesting spot during our visit to the city was the waterfront promenade. In this area, we were able to get closer to the riverside and the yacht club, where we saw all the boats and started to notice some of the golden sand that characterizes the coast of Corrientes. I really liked this place because of how neat and clean it was—it was clear that the city makes an effort to keep it well maintained.

Otro punto interesante durante nuestra visita a la ciudad fue el Paseo Costero. En esta parte nos pudimos acercar un poco a la costanera y al club náutico, en donde vimos todos los botes y se empezó a ver algo de la arena dorada que caracteriza la costa de Corrientes. Este lugar me gustó mucho por lo prolijo y limpio que estaba: se notaba que la ciudad se esfuerza en mantenerse prolija.

I found the city of Corrientes incredibly photogenic at every turn: everywhere there was something beautiful to see and capture, like the lighthouse, the boats, the monuments, the shoreline, and the murals. Being there in person, I understood why Luis and Gabi enjoy taking photos for Hive: their city is truly beautiful and deserves to be shared. I was glad we started our walk early because, in the absence of trekking in the mountains, we ended up exploring all over the place.

La ciudad de Corrientes me pareció muy fotografiable a cada paso: en todos lados había algo lindo para ver y retratar, como el faro, los barcos, los monumentos, la costa, los murales. Estando en vivo y en directo ahí entendí por qué a Luis y a Gabi les gusta sacar fotos para Hive: su ciudad es bellísima y merece ser compartida. Me alegré de haber arrancado nuestro paseo temprano porque a falta de trekking en las montañas, anduvimos por todos lados.

I will always be grateful to Gabi and Luis for showing me their city with so much care, and for welcoming me into their home with such kindness. The province of Corrientes was the last one left on my travel list, and sharing this achievement together was very special. I truly enjoyed everything we saw, and continuing to discover my country, Argentina, was very fulfilling—without a doubt, we live in a very beautiful land ❤️.

Siempre voy a estar agradecida con Gabi y Luis por haberme mostrado su ciudad con tanto cariño, y por haberme recibido en su casa con tanta amabilidad. La provincia de Corrientes era la última que me quedaba por visitar dentro de mi lista de viajes, y compartir este logro juntos fue muy especial. Me gustó mucho cada cosa que vimos y seguir conociendo mi país Argentina fue muy satisfactorio: sin dudas, vivimos en una tierra muy hermosa ❤️.
