The greenest mountains I've ever seen [Esp-Eng]

A few minutes from the city where I live, there’s a really beautiful place; to be specific, it’s at least an hour and a half from where I live. But nowhere else I’ve ever visited have I seen mountains this green—truly, this green. And of course, that makes them spectacularly beautiful, so on my Wednesday evening walk, I want to share this experience with you, as well as the photos I managed to capture of them.

Maracay, the city where I live, is almost entirely surrounded by mountains, and of course they’re all gorgeous—they make the view simply lovely even though it’s an area packed with buildings. However, I have to admit that this is on another level because, in this case, there aren’t any buildings or even that many houses to overshadow the beauty of these green mountains. But the best part is that you’re very, very close to them.

A unos cuantos minutos de la ciudad donde vivo hay un lugar bastante bonito; si somos específicos, se encuentra a por lo menos una hora y media de donde vivo. Pero nunca en ningún lugar que he visitado he visto montañas tan, pero tan verdes. Y por supuesto, eso hace que sean espectacularmente hermosas, por lo que en mi caminata de fin de miércoles quiero compartirles esta experiencia y también lo que logré capturar de ellas con la cámara.

​Maracay, que es la ciudad en la que yo vivo, está rodeada casi en su totalidad por montañas y por supuesto que todas ellas son preciosas, hacen que la vista simplemente se vea linda a pesar de ser una zona bastante llena de edificios. Sin embargo, debo admitir que este es otro nivel porque en este caso no hay edificios ni tantas casas como para opacar la belleza de estas verdes montañas. Pero lo más bonito es que estás muy, muy cerca de ellas.

Although I wasn’t able to walk around this area as much as I wanted to, the truth is that the time I had to take it all in—and even snap a few photos—while the cool breeze enveloped me felt incredible. Since it’s a mountainous area at a fairly high elevation, the weather is cool, and the breeze can even get chilly at times. Because it’s so high up, you can also somehow feel the sky closer, and even though the sunburn on my skin showed that the sun was pretty strong, it didn’t feel that intense because of how cool it was there.

On the other hand, the fact that we were so high up made looking up at the sky a real spectacle. Personally, I love clouds, and in this beautiful area, it was amazing to see how they changed shape in a place where they looked so clear and fluffy. And as a personal favorite, I also love how well the deep green of the vegetation complements the deep blue of the sky.

​Si bien no pude caminar por esta zona tanto como quería, la verdad es que el tiempo que tuve para contemplarlas y hasta tomar algunas fotos mientras la brisa fría me abrazaba se sintió increíble. Como es una zona montañosa y bastante alta, el clima es fresco y la brisa incluso llega a ser fría en ocasiones. Al ser alta, también puedes de alguna manera sentir el cielo más cerca, y aunque las quemaduras en mi piel demostraban que había bastante sol, no se sintió tanto por la frescura del sitio.

​Por otro lado, el hecho de que estuviéramos tan alto hacía que mirar al cielo fuera un espectáculo. En lo personal me encantan las nubes y en esta zona tan linda fue genial ver cómo las nubes cambiaban de forma en un sitio en el que se veían con tanta claridad y tan esponjositas. Y como gusto personal también me encanta lo bien que combina el color verde intenso de la vegetación con el azul intenso del cielo.

Although that wasn’t our intended destination, the truth is that sometimes along the way we come across beautiful places and sometimes we overlook them, but it’s worth stopping not only to take photos, but also to appreciate something that, without much effort, is incredible and a gift for which we can be grateful. And even though I visited a beautiful place full of incredible views, these lovely mountains alone brightened my morning.

​Si bien ese no era el destino al que nos dirigíamos, la verdad es que a veces en el camino conseguimos lugares hermosos y a veces los pasamos por alto, pero vale la pena detenerse no solo para tomarse fotos, sino para apreciar aquello que sin mucho esfuerzo es algo increíble y un regalo el cual se puede agradecer. Y aunque visité un sitio hermoso lleno de vistas increíbles, estas montañas tan lindas por sí solas alegraron mi mañana.
