Hello Wednesday walkers! Come with me for a walk through Svilajnac town and join the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay.

In previous posts, I wrote about amazing spots around this town, and today I will share with you a walk through the town that was short but long enough to feel the spirit of this place.

Svilajnac is nestled in central - eastern Serbia, where everyday life moves at a slow and peaceful pace. The town center felt calm and welcoming, with small streets, local shops, and just enough activity to give it life without the rush of bigger cities.

What I noticed while walking were different styles of architecture and it's a bit chaotic, I couldn't catch any thread and unique spirit. But what I felt was the kindness of the people and their cool vibes.

One of the highlights was the monument to Stevan Sinฤeliฤ, a reminder of the town's connection to Serbian history.

Known for his role in the First Serbian Uprising, Sinฤeliฤ symbolizes courage and sacrifice, and standing there brought a quiet moment of reflection during our walk.

As we continued, we reached the Resava River, gently flowing through the town. A small bridge connects both sides of the town.

On the promenade, my kids rode their scooters a bit, and what I noticed was that it was arranged and the atmosphere was cool. Svilajnac feels unhurried, almost like time slows down just enough for you to truly enjoy the moment.

Our path led us towards the Natural history center of Serbia and the Dino park.

My kids were excited to go inside, especially when they saw the huge dinosaur outside and so were we. ๐

About this experience I will write in the next post.

Thank you for reading and happy Wednesday! ๐

Stunning architecture and composition! The way you captured the light on the old buildings in Svilajnac is really impressive.
I'm from Egypt and our old towns have similar narrow streets. Is Svilajnac a tourist spot or mostly locals live there?
Thanks for taking us on your walk ๐
Mostly locals live there, but there are several tourist spots and cultural sights worth visiting...

How beautiful the architecture and the trees are.
Especially the trees because now it's spring and everything is blooming ๐
Awesome walk keep it up
I simply LOVE that tree! Nothing compares to the colours of nature when slowly awaking!
Yes, that's right, it is the priceless beauty of nature that delights us every spring...
A very wonderful place, the architectural designs was amazing. Your kids was very excited to see the big Dinosaur outside from a children's that loves animals. Yeah, kids loves Dinosaur and glad the family enjoyed it.
Dinosaurs were the highlight of the day.๐ More about that experience I will write in the next post.
What a picturesque and neat town! The colors of the houses contrast beautifully with each other. This flowering tree is so incredible, the blossom is so enchanting ๐ I wonder what kind of tree this is, I've never seen any like it?
I'm not sure exactly which tree it is, but all the trees around us are beautiful right now because it's spring and they're blooming. I like the chestnut with beautiful aromatic white flowers the most, and there are the most of these trees in my city
Yess, i love spring partly because there are blooming trees everywhere
Chestnut? Oh how i loved it when i lived in Ukraine and every spring i saw our giant chestnut trees blooming, they're so charming
I've got a lot of cherry and apple trees around me blooming right now, and i love them so much. But I've never seen any like you have in your post!
Just a few days ago i took photos of some blossom around me!:

My favourite apple blossom โจ
