"Good food, sweet moments, and the best company."
It's been a while Hiveans!
I truly missed this platform. I honestly don't know why, now that I'm working from home, I can't seem to manage everything like I used to. Back when I was working abroad, I could juggle blogging, editing, writing, and my job without much trouble. Maybe the spark for blogging just isn't the same anymore. Still, I want to come back to it because I don't want to abandon the platforms where I first started writing. I guess posting one to three times a week isn't too bad. I really don't want to let blogging go.
Apart from being a Virtual Assistant, some things that keep me busy everyday include my daily life outside the digital world, as well as affiliate marketing. Those are, so far, the daily hustles that help my wallet from becoming empty. I guess we're all are busy every day, just with different things.
Anyway...
We recently had a family gathering to celebrate my niece Breiana's 4th birthday. I'll write a separate blog about the celebration. I actually collected a lot of photos and have plenty of stories to share. I just haven't had enough time to turn them into a blog post. And I really need to clear some storage for new memories because those photos are taking up space on my phone.
A few days before the celebration, I contacted my former sister-in-law so my nieces could come and attend the birthday celebration. They stayed with us for three days before going back home for school. Breiana was so happy because she had playmates around the house for a few days.
The day after the birthday celebration, I gave my niece her gift, a quite big doll house which made my other two nieces a little envious.

Although they didn't say a thing, I saw it in their eyes. So that day, I decided to take them on a small trip around town.
We visited places they never been before.

Our first stop was Mr. DIY. I actually was surprised that they had never been there before, especially since their father sometimes goes to town with their stepsister. When I found out, I didn't hesitate taking them inside. Meanwhile, Breiana visits the store almost every week because she treats it like her own little playground. She's quite collecting toys from there! Even the cashiers knew her well.
I let my nieces chose whatever they wanted. I thought they wanted toys, but they chose art materials. One of them mentioned that she isn't a kid anymore to play toys, so she prefer things she could use for school, which I agreed. Of course, Breiana got a new toy again!

After shopping, I decided to bring them to our favorite pizza house. This pizza house is Breiana's favorite snack house in town. I also thought they had already visited the snack house before because their father often eat there. But when I asked them, they said it was their first time.

That honestly made me feel sad for them.

Their father, who is my older brother, now has a new family, so they're being taken care of their mother. I seldom see them, only during family gatherings at home. It hurts to see how their once-complete family has been divided. Their older sister lives with their mother's sibling, and their older brother stays at home while studying in high school. So the two of them are with their mother, who now has a new family, too.
Sometimes, I wish I could take care of all of them, but I also need to work to make ends meet. So whenever they visit home, I make sure their stays are filled with good memories.
After eating, we took a short walk by the coastline, which is just a few steps away from the pizza house. We sat under the trees, relaxed, and enjoyed the peaceful view of the coastline.

Breiana was so excited that she couldn't wait until we got home to open her new toys. The two sisters did the same way and couldn't wait to start coloring in the coloring books they had bought from Mr. DIY shop.

This kind of view always make me smile.
Life is really unpredictable. A family that was once complete and happy can eventually fall apart. So every time my other relatives ask me, *"When are you getting married and starting your own family.?* I usually just smile and ignore their question because I rather live alone, than live with a man with uncertain future.
That's all for today's #WednesdayWalk. I hope I made my nieces happy that day.
I'll see you around!

Nieces, that's more than one niece!
Nice to see you back with a post and see what's happening there. Family is more important.
It's not just your time but you changed your priorities, and I think it's losing the rhythm of writing on a regular basis.
