Hello Wednesday walkers.
I was playing tourist, in the city of Aveiro, in the middle of the summer. Those two things are not really a good combination. It's busy and very warm then. But I still got a very nice photo series out of that day. I already started out with a photo stories about the city and here is part two of that day.
My goal was to capture the city without many people in frame. It was very warm and it was the middle of the summer holidays so that would be very challenging. In the previous post, I started out in the station and walked towards the city center. And this part of the series is a little outside of the city center.
There were pretty colorful houses here. I like that a lot.

And you almost always end up near water. Not so crazy in a coastal town. And water means tourists. I tried to not get them in frame but I missed a couple of heads here.

There was some green in the city but it was not much. That's a shame because green ensures that the temperature drop's significantly.

Some original street art.

The Atlas building with a statue of JosΓ© EstΓͺvΓ£o Coelho de MagalhΓ£es, a well known politician and a journalist in the beginning of the 19th century.

Some other old historical buildings

There were many tourist traps around the city, like these boats. I don't know but it doesn't look appealing to sit in a boat in the sun on the water. I would burn alive I think.

The people in these boats looked very happy. I don't know, maybe I am privileged growing up near water and boat live. I also came across a market hall and shopping center. Always nice to go in and enjoy the air conditioning. The fish department was already sold out. it was to late for that.
But the fruit and veggies section looked very colorful.

And a nice instagrammeble spot.

And eventually on my way back, I came across some residential and modern buildings. I walked around the city center a bit because I already saw that. i like to go places were I have not been yet. this was a pretty long detour but it was word it.

They also kept a bit of history in this area. This is an old ceramics factory that they have transformed in to an Congress Center.

And some modern art in the park. Good to see that.

Thank you so much for reading my post and please tell me what you think of it.

Such a lovely city walk through Aveiro! I can really feel the charm of its canals, colourful streets, and quiet corners through your photos. Itβs inspiring to see a place that feels both relaxed and full of character β like a hidden gem by the water. Thanks for sharing this beautiful slice of Portugal!

That is a bit disappointing, since NL is still a great country to be in π₯³
Not saying anything about other countries not being as great π
It was truly good to see 'centrum' in a post, not much Dutch writing in HIVE.
