INGLÉS

Greetings, #Hive friends! I hope you all have an excellent and blessed day. It is a pleasure to share my visit and walk through the beautiful garden located behind the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Museum. This museum is a lovely building situated on Humboldt Avenue, inaugurated in 1974 to pay tribute to the Cumaná-born hero Antonio José de Sucre. The building is striking, designed in a Neo-colonial style, and is part of the Parque Ayacucho cultural and recreational complex. The structure is surrounded by an abundance of plants that beautify and cool the area.

In the back, there are various ornamental plants—including garden crotons, palm trees, and ixoras—that add color and visual appeal to the grounds, while also creating pleasant spaces for rest and relaxation. The structure features three semi-arched doorways and beige-and-white columns. Above these are three rectangular windows, beneath which sits a cornice, followed by the crest or coat of arms of the Sucre family. There is a granite walkway flanked by garden plants, as well as a wide path lined with royal palms. Throughout the grounds, one can find a variety of plants and large trees, along with ornamental species—such as the vibrant red-flowered Ixora—that add splashes of color. The roof is covered in traditional clay tiles, accented by a yellow-and-white cornice. Further along, you can see part of the palm-lined path and benches placed along the walkway. In this area, a wide corridor leads toward a skateboard park located just a few meters from the museum. At the far end of Parque Ayacucho, there is a view of the gardens, the walkway, and a long path that begins near Mariño Avenue—by the bridge of the same name—and stretches all the way to the aforementioned skateboard park.

The design of this museum is truly beautiful, and its decorative details add a touch of elegance. It features several semicircular, brown-colored windows, separated by small white columns. Surrounding the building are palm trees, purple-hued plants, and the iconic spider lilies—a signature sight in this city—all shaded by a large neem tree.

One plant, in particular, caught my eye with its stunning fuchsia-colored blossoms; I stopped during my walk to take a photograph. The flower has five petals, with its style visible at the center. In the next photo, you can see this plant alongside some palm trees that complete the garden. The following view shows the side of the building, featuring a white column at the corner—circular at the base, transitioning into a rectangular shape that extends upward. You can also see the roof tiles. Further along, at the next corner, stands another similar column. It is a spacious building with lovely architecture. Next, there are semicircular doorways protected by green iron grilles, and throughout the garden, one can find various other plants, including mango trees, agave (maguey), and small palms. The Mariscal de Ayacucho Museum is a significant landmark in the city, as it highlights the life and achievements of the hero from Cumaná—who earned the title of "Grand Marshal" (Gran Mariscal) for his distinguished role in the Battle of Ayacucho.

This is my entry for the #Wednesdaywalk organized by @tattoodjay.
