January is not over yet and I remembered the last walk I took just a few days ago. I did a lot of walks during the time of Christmas lights, decorations, New Year's Eve and Epiphany.

Many walks through the most important streets, through the hidden streets, the flea market and even visiting the giants on the promenade, those giants that always impress me when seen from above.

But not only on this promenade I paid attention to the decorative lights, but also to the different shops that were dressed up in festive attire, even the places that sell typical clothes, as well as one of the most famous houses that sell sweets, chips and much more. People always stop there to take pictures with the decorations. It is a very picturesque and lively corner. I had to wait to be able to take pictures without so many people.

As I told you several times, even the smallest or seemingly insignificant streets had their decorations. How lovely to remember that time, I think this walk was almost a month ago.

They have already finished taking down the decorations, the lights. There are rainy seasons in the city and I am glad to have taken so many walks when the nights were so bright for the holidays.

Many of the walks consisted of walking through different spaces, but there were some that I liked so much that I would walk through them again and the hours would fly by, many times I would walk for two or three hours without even realising it. I admired the lights, but also the different environments such as restaurants, cafes, shops, like the ice-cream parlours, which, even though it was winter, the ice-creams were still delicious.

The city's most iconic squares were crowded with people, and they still are because there is a lot of tourism at all times of the year, but at that time the lights and the shows were what attracted people.

The balconies were always dressed up.

This is one of the most beautifully illuminated buildings at Christmas and from far away you can appreciate its beauty. Today it no longer has these lights, but it is still just as beautiful.

Look what a beautiful wolf I found printed on what I think was a poncho. This was inside one of the markets on the promenade that I had not seen on my previous visits. I loved it.

This area of giant boats, as I call them, the palm trees, the lights of the city that can be seen in the distance and that I had just seen on the promenade when passing through the historic centre, the whole thing, forms a perfect combination of magic. The reflections of these lights on the water are also marvellous.

Looking up and seeing the palm trees reaching for the moon.
And people strolling everywhere in a festive atmosphere.

At the top, either up the stairs or in the lift, there are more places offering a variety of food, but the most beautiful thing is the view of the lamppost and the boats, because I can see them in their full extent.

The lighting is of such magnitude that they look so white, giant and radiant that they contrast with the dark night. One of the things I like the most is to take the perspective pictures especially of the roads and those boats.

That day there were some clouds in the sky creating beautiful landscapes with the palm trees.

My way back took me to the big cube of the Pompidou museum with its radiant colours and further down to the view of the flea markets.

I think this walk is the farewell I wanted to give to a time that I enjoyed very much, especially this year, perhaps because it was significant for me. And I couldn't leave out the imposing main town hall of the city. It is beautiful.
Thank you very much for joining me today on this Wednesday walk, I send you my best regards. See you soon.

Wow it's amazing
Thank you!!
Good morning @avdesing, first, I'd like to comment on the title of your post: there's no such thing as a "last walk in the light"... there will always be another.
It's true that Málaga looks beautiful at Christmas, adorned with lights and colors... but I have to say there are two photos I absolutely love, and they're not of that Christmassy Málaga. I loved the photos of the palm trees reaching for the moon.
Have a great afternoon!
I always like to look at the sky, even at night and those pictures are beautiful!!! I'm already nostalgic for Christmas time hahaha Thanks!!!
Christmas is just around the corner... and until then, there are many days left to look up at the sky and see beautiful things.
Thanks to you!

Muchas gracias!!

How are you, Amonet? Good day!
These nighttime walks were definitely worth it; you showed us some beautiful illuminations. Your city at night is gorgeous.
What beautiful photographs! A lovely nighttime walk.
As soon as the rains stop I will go back to the walks, although without the Christmas lights, but they are still beautiful!

Hi 😃
Even though Paco José usually tempts me in, today I popped into the ice-cream shop for a berry scoop. 🤤
Loved that wolf. We had a little chat about the moon.
;)
I prefer ice cream! And the wolf when I saw it I said to myself... how beautiful!!! Thank you!!!🤗

I know you are always, always, the same as me, don't worry !!!! And thank you, a thousand thanks. The night walks will continue, only without Christmas!!! They are just as beautiful. Thank you again!
When I saw this photo I thought: how huge, green umbrellas those people have 😂 and then saw those are decorated trees 🌳 🤣
Time around Christmas is very nice, I am glad you had the opportunity to enjoy all these lights and decorations in your city! ✨️
The wolf is very cute 😇
Yes, they look like umbrellas! But I just took that picture!🤣
I love that wolf, they are symbols of the mystery of the moon!
Lively city with lots of sights. I'm intrigued by these dresses. Are they for special occasions?
They are dresses to dance flamenco, typical dance of Spain, it is used a lot in the festivities of the country and fairs!!!!
