Fantasy, sweets and magic at the Corte Inglés flea market.🎄

This is an ideal time of year for night-time strolls, especially admiring the Christmas decorations and lights in the city. A time full of magic and joy.

In the city there are many places to visit during these days, nativity scenes, museums with special displays, light trails and flea markets. I could mention three big markets or the best known and which are relatively close to each other, but then there are many in different parts of the city.

These days I decided to take a stroll through one of them, which has its own characteristics and style. It is much nicer to visit it at night, with the lights decorating the stalls, the Christmas trees, the food stalls and the many stands selling a wide variety of items.

I remember when I first visited this market a few years ago, it even had a skating rink. But I like the way it is designed nowadays, very much dedicated to family strolls, to spending a pleasant time, especially because there are several food stalls of various nationalities, as well as the traditional chocolates with churros.

In this sense there is a lot of variety to choose from and for example you can dine there on the tables and benches specially arranged for this purpose, enjoying the beautiful Christmas views and even on some days there are shows where there is a group singing typical Spanish Christmas carols, which I loved.

The market has two entrances, one on each side or at either end, one of them leads to the food court and some stalls selling sweets, wines, chocolates of different brands and one of the ones I liked the most is called Focacccia, typically Italian.

Then there was a man dressed up as Father Christmas walking around the place and taking pictures with the children, talking to people, but there were also decorations of games like Star Wars. Lots of variety everywhere.

Arriving at the centre of the market, there were columns that then led to a centre where there was a Father Christmas character and around this place there were more stalls with different items, more Christmas trees with lots of lights. The stalls dedicated to Disney and Lego were great especially for the kids and for buying them presents for the holidays.

Also in the centre is the beautiful carousel for the kids to play on, luckily I was on standby at the time and was able to take some pictures. I don't like children in the photos so I took advantage of this moment to take pictures of the characters, because I love horses.

The decorations are amazing, I enjoyed them a lot during the walk, and so did the people until I got to a corridor where there were several stalls to buy details, gifts and decorations for Christmas. There were more shops selling sweets, toys, books, more decorations and the classic nativity scenes so that households could have one decorating their homes.

On one of the sides there was a decoration with a very handmade nativity scene, rustic but beautiful, as well as trees, bushes, all illuminated with little lights.

And with these stalls with so many different products, I reached the end of the promenade and the other entrance or exit to the market. It is a walk that is enjoyable from beginning to end, but especially for children, although we all carry a child in our hearts, so I think that adults also live intensely this place, especially to see so many beautiful and handmade things.
