Northern lights over Baltic Sea

(edited)

It’s been a while since my last post here on PeakD. The past weeks (or even months) have been incredibly intense — a mix of work, responsibilities, and everyday life that left little room for creativity and sharing. But sometimes, nature has a way of pulling you back exactly when you need it most.

A few nights ago, something truly extraordinary happened.

Standing on the quiet beach in Jurata, on the Hel Peninsula, I witnessed a rare and magical spectacle — the Northern Lights dancing above the Baltic Sea. A place usually associated with summer sun and calm waves suddenly transformed into a stage for cosmic light.

The sky filled with shades of green, purple, and soft pink, stretching across the horizon and reflecting gently on the water. The silence of the night, broken only by the sound of the waves, made the whole experience even more surreal. It felt like time had slowed down for a moment.

What makes this even more special is that such displays are quite rare at this latitude, especially so vividly visible to the naked eye. It was one of those moments when you realize how small we are compared to the vast beauty of the universe — and how lucky we are to witness it.

I’m really glad to be back here and to share this with you. Hopefully, more moments like this — both in nature and here on PeakD — are still ahead.
