🍂 An October Morning in Łapszanka – From the Milky Way to the Golden Autumn

There are mornings when it's worth getting up early, leaving the warmth of your bed behind and heading out with a camera. Some places reward you with views that make every minute of lost sleep worthwhile. Łapszanka, in the Podhale region of southern Poland, is definitely one of them.

But this photographic adventure actually began the evening before.

🌌 The Milky Way – A Night Under the Stars

Before the morning landscapes, I had the opportunity to photograph the Milky Way slowly setting towards the horizon. As the night progressed, our galaxy gradually disappeared from view, marking the end of another beautiful night under the stars.

The dark sky above Łapszanka offered excellent conditions for astrophotography. It was a wonderful opportunity to capture the night sky before turning my attention to the landscapes that would soon be illuminated by the first rays of sunlight.

There is something magical about spending the night photographing the stars and then watching the same landscape transform as daylight slowly takes over.

🌄 An October Sunrise in Podhale

As dawn approached, the landscape began to reveal its autumn colours. This October morning was one of those beautiful moments when autumn meets the first hints of winter.

The surrounding hills were covered in a colourful mixture of golden, yellow and green trees, while the majestic peaks of the Tatra Mountains stretched across the horizon.

The first rays of sunlight gently illuminated the higher mountain peaks, creating a beautiful contrast between the cool morning shadows and the warm autumn colours of the landscape.

Some of the highest peaks were already showing traces of snow, reminding us that winter was slowly approaching.

📸 A Photographer's Perspective

Łapszanka is a fantastic location for landscape photography. Its open meadows and elevated position offer a wide panorama of the Tatras, making it possible to capture the mountains in all their glory.

For me, the most beautiful thing about this place is the way the landscape changes with the seasons and the light. From a star-filled night sky to a colourful autumn morning, every moment offers a completely different perspective.

These photographs capture two sides of the same place: the beauty of the night sky and the peaceful atmosphere of an autumn morning.

Autumn in the Podhale region has its own unique charm. Golden forests, peaceful meadows, snow-dusted mountain peaks and dark skies filled with stars create a combination that is hard to forget.

Sometimes, the best photographic experiences are not just about a single photograph, but about the entire journey from night until morning.
