This was the most important part of the trip, deciding in which area to book a hotel. After doing some research, I shortlisted the Shinjuku area and I am glad I took this decision. This area is famous for it's night life and this was also one reason I went ahead with it. Also loads of restaurants to select from. This is the place where the capsule hotels are also fanous. Very economical for someone who wants a very budgeted stay. It provides a bed and a locker. If you are travelling as a family, these type of stays are not suitable, but for solo travellers it is a good option to save on huge money.
The hotel rooms in Japan are extremely small, even after paying a decent amount of money you will not get a spacious room. I had booked hotel La Gent in Shinjuku area, and booked their biggest room which is 26 sqmts. It was decent for 3 of us but not worth the money I paid. In my city I would get a 5 star deluxe room in this price, but then this is standard in Japan. If you need a place close to the metro and subway then you have to pay up more even for a very ordinary room. I could have got a cheaper deal away from metro and subway but then as it is there is so much walking, this extra walking would be exhausting. And taxis are super super expensive. Most of the eooms are 15 sqmtrs where you will get 1 bed and a desk and besides that there is absolutely no place. The luggage will have to be placed below the bed, which the hotel will also mention at check-in.
Last time I visited Turkey and I found it very expensive, Japan was much more then Turkey also, in terms of travelling and hotels. By the end of the day if the hotel is not near to the metro then probably we would have ended up taking a taxi, which would have been way more expensive. Anyways I feel it was all worth the place snd visit.
Today I am sharing the pictures of vibrant Shinjuku area where we had stayed.

Wow! It's amazing how spacious the rooms are; it's definitely a different culture. Thanks for letting us experience it through your journey.
The rooms are very tiny and not spacious in Japan, compared to other countries they are very small
