Recovering my Anthuriums

In the afternoon, I devoted myself to the anthuriums, which were underneath plants with a lot of foliage. The water hardly penetrated the leaves and did not reach the substrate. I decided to take them out to check them and realized that they had a very unsuitable substrate.

Although the leaves are large, they have some kind of pest infestation. The surface has lots of dark spots that are sapping the plant's vitality.

So, I got to work. I removed the substrate one by one. I had to sacrifice some leaves, as the pests had penetrated them deeply.

To save the plant, I had to remove the infested leaves. I took the opportunity to apply my homemade pesticide and gently wipe the underside of the leaves with a cloth to remove all traces of the pests.

Now I have to prepare my substrate for the Anthuriums, with enough coconut fiber, dry sticks, a little wood ash, and worm humus.

Now I have recovered them. I also took advantage of the fact that there were two plants in a black bag instead of one; they had multiplied. I separated them and was able to put them in two black bags because I no longer have pots. I have placed all the others in pots.

I place them in the shade while they adapt to their new substrate; I also protect them from direct sunlight. Once they have overcome the stress of transplanting, I will place them in a suitable location so that they can begin to produce leaves and flowers.

I have prepared an organic liquid fertilizer to stimulate all my fruit trees. Soon, all my plants will be lush and bearing fruit. In addition, as the ornamental plants recover, I will also apply the fertilizer to induce flowering.

The liquid fertilizer consists of adding ash, coffee grounds, cinnamon, and sugar to 20 liters of water. I let it macerate for 24 hours and then use it to give my plants a boost.

That's all for now.
