During my visit to Mustang, I had the opportunity to visit the holy Dhhumba lake. It is one of the hidden natural gem of Nepal.
It is located just a few kilometers towards from the headquarter, Jomsom.
Unlike other crowded places, Dhumba lake provides some peaceful moments.
The walk to the lake is short and quite adventurous.
It is about 2 hours walk from the Jomsom airport. Although the surrounding is dry with minimum vegetations, when we reached the lake, the atmosphere was cool and the nearby pine trees added more to the beauty.
Religious importance
This lake is considered sacred and holy by the Buddhist community. Visitors are encouraged to keep the area clean and obey the rules and regulations of the lake premises.

Best time to visit
The best time to visit this lake is during the spring ( March- May) and autumn ( September- November).
Early morning and late afternoon provide the best time for photography.
I recommend you to visit this place if you ever get opportunity to visit Nepal. Thank you.
