After Paulista Avenue, we took the subway and went to Liberdade, an area known for its strong Japanese cultural influence. Since it was a Saturday, the street market was extremely busy, with a huge crowd gathered in one place. There were also some interesting attractions, such as the samurai we saw as soon as we arrived.

We spent our time simply walking around, stopping by some of the street stalls and visiting a few shops in Liberdade. What I really liked about this place is how many things remind you of Japan, such as the lanterns on the streets and some areas with ponds and fish, which give the neighborhood a very Japanese atmosphere.

At the end of our walk, we went to a Chinese restaurant for lunch. According to my friends, they served the best yakisoba they had ever eaten. I had never eaten yakisoba at a restaurant like that before, and for me, it was also a challenge to learn how to eat using hashi, the traditional Japanese chopsticks. At first, I had a hard time, but eventually my friends taught me how to use them, and I managed to eat the entire yakisoba.

We also came across several interesting things during our walk. One of them was a food stall with a funny double-meaning phrase that caught my attention: "Vai tomar naquele lugar", which literally means something like "Go drink in that place", but in Brazilian Portuguese it can also be understood as a rude expression similar to "Go to hell." However, it was actually just a joke, since the stall was selling juice and other food.

Depois da Avenida Paulista, pegamos o metrô e fomos para a Liberdade, um local conhecido por sua forte influência da cultura japonesa. Como chegamos em um sábado, o movimento na feira estava muito grande, com muita gente reunida em um só lugar. Também havia algumas atrações, como o samurai que vimos logo quando chegamos por lá.

Fomos apenas caminhando, passando por algumas barracas e entrando em algumas lojas da Liberdade. O legal desse lugar é que há muitas coisas que lembram o Japão, como as luzes nos postes e alguns espaços com lagos e peixes, elementos que remetem bastante à cultura japonesa.

Ao final do passeio, fomos almoçar em um restaurante de comida chinesa que, segundo meus colegas, servia o melhor yakisoba que eles já haviam comido na vida. Eu nunca tinha comido yakisoba em um restaurante desse tipo e, para mim, foi um desafio aprender a comer usando os hashi. No começo, não foi nada fácil, mas no final meus colegas me ensinaram a usar os palitinhos e consegui comer todo o yakisoba.

Também passamos por várias coisas interessantes. Entre elas, havia uma barraca com uma frase de duplo sentido que chamou minha atenção: "Vai tomar naquele lugar". Porém, ao olhar melhor, percebi que a frase era apenas uma brincadeira, pois o local vendia sucos e outras comidas.
