Hail to the Hive!

One of the many many reasons for my recent prolonged absence from the #hive was another working trip to India and a return to Pondicherry. I’m really starting to like this place more and more and next time I need to do a deeper dive into it to do a detailed blog on the place. It’s a hidden gem.

Craft beers at night and chotic streets by day, the place is alive and has a real charm to it and every time I go I can’t help but smile to myself about what a pleasure it is to be there.

One thing I always try to do on these working visits is make some time to just go for a wander about. No real purpose other than to just see what’s what and what there may be lurking behind the next intersection. This is how i’ve become quite familiar with the place and have gotten to know where things are and where i am relative to where i am staying or my favourite craft brew pub.

It never disappoints and is a ready source of lense fodder for some good street photography.

I have so far managed to avoid being hit by traffic as well which is either a testament to my street savvy or to the superb driving skills of the residents of Pondy.

The last 2 trips I made time at the end for a days exploration but this time I had 4 days at the beginning to source a place to get the canvas cover ,for the stern of my narrowboat, repaired. I then had a few days at the end also. I will do this again next time. Made me realise what a rush i was in on the previous visits here. This trip was chill.

If all goes well I will be back here in August and i think I may do a daily report to do something different on the hive. Propoer daily blog.

This is something i am considering doing from the boat actually as a way of keeping me focused, keeping me on the hive and just having that space to express some creativity. I’ve got so many projects on hold it may be time to jump back in again and maybe the daily blog would serve as the impetus to get cracking on them.

I’m open to feedback on that. Thoughts on a daily blog?

And some of iot would have to be in this space if the shots lent themselves to the old monochrome because I know you all know that I…….
